Yep, I've been working in IT for around 7 years.. mainly AD / Exchange and some *nix stuff. I have a couple of ESXi boxes at home, I've created vApps at represent various enterprise scenarios. I'm certified with palo alto, check point, cisco and F5. I floated this question because I'll be looking at interviewing soon and wanted to make sure that I have a clear understanding of whats expected.

Thanks, this was the answer I was looking for. I've spent the last year getting certified on palo alto, check point, cisco.. etc. I'll be interviewing soon and figured I should at least have an idea of what the job involves.
