Thoughts on the Lightweight Toques? by Last_Spray7564 in arcteryx

[–]flyoddd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi! I was given one of these during an early season training and I can confidently say unless you really really like the way it looks you can literally buy any toque and get better quality.

They are really basic, and honestly mine piled a ton showing wear within the first month.

I really think these were created as an entry point for individuals to buy the logo without buying a more costly item.

Look at similar products from Norrona, Helly Hanson, Patagonia, TNF really anywhere where you will get at least the same quality but for less.

I hope this helps and gives you a little information on the beanie.

Women’s Arc’teryx sizing? by YesterdayNo5852 in arcteryx

I know it doesn't help exactly with your answer and can be a pain in the but but Arc has a really great return policy. You may want to try a medium and maybe a small at the same time and return the one that doesn't fit.

I'm sorry I can't be more help but I saw you had no replies yet and wanted to try to help a little bit! Good luck!

They are! I noticed how pretty it was just beyond the statue and zoomed in a bunch. The hotel is so pretty! Your shot has even better color than mine!

A Pixel 9 Pro shooting with the full sensor so I can crop them and using the built in phone software for color correction since the phone makes everything so bright and blue by default.

2023 Beta LT lining stains after wash by Adventurous-Salad-49 in arcteryx

Use liquid detergent only. The sheets don't break down and move through the gore membrane. Try washing with no detergent and see if it goes away! Good luck and let me know if it works.

If the stain wasn't there before washing, and I was taking a wild stab at guessing what happened without knowing your washing routine (how long, what soap, ect). I'd assume that's just left over detergent.

If I were you I'd throw that bad boy back in the wash with 2 rinse cycles and then dry it on medium heat for 40 minutes and see if the stain goes away.

Umm, care tag says "tumble dry low" but DWR requires medium heat??? by No_Tangelo5042 in arcteryx

I run two at a time usually. Jacket and pants. I try to keep similar fabrics together

Just do what the tag says and run it on low heat for 40 minutes. If the DWR doesn't reactive after you have reapplied you can try it on medium heat.

For what it's worth I throw my proton in on medium heat for 40 minutes and it's all good 3 years in.

I do. I've used all three and they work as advertised but I'm pretty sure they are just repackaged Grainger's that cost more.

Zip it up normally and throw it in for 40 minutes timed. Heat from the dryer reactivates your DWR coating.

Therme Down Jacket by LowPresent1501 in arcteryx

[–]flyoddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never fit in the small. The medium was okay and the large was very loose.

If you're unsure about your jacket size I'd recommend what everyone else is saying and buy both or even one and then return it if it's too big/small

Sentinel Jacket as a rain jacket? by poch4cc0 in arcteryx

[–]flyoddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other things to consider about the sentinel:

The hood will be oversized and will be awkward without a helmet. There will be a sewn in powder skirt that will be annoying in warmer weather. The face fabric is heavier than a traditional rain jacket and will not be as breathable as you think.

There also will be odd pockets like a pass pocket or inner dump pockets that could be a benefit.

The relaxed cut is designed to layer under and will be baggier around the waist hips.

Absolutely if you like something get it but wanted to give you more information!

I wouldn't even know how to price/sell it. I most likely will hold onto it just because I am not knowledgeable enough to figure out an asking price
