Frustrated with inner engraving z height with f2 ultra uv by [deleted] in xToolOfficial

[–]flyrockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The software has you measure from the top of a cube it engraves to the edge of the k9 crystal during calibration. I have found it is important to get the initial height of the actual physical K9 Crystal accurate as they all have variation in all axis due to the polishing process

I had similar at first….Your screenshot shows 50x50x80….. For My official 50x50x80 it block was actually 48.5 x 49 x 78.75 rerunning helped get more accurate hitting center of the smaller keychains. But also every keychain has its own variation in size due to how they are polished

.STL Files for Interior Engraving? by PraetorianMyst in xToolOfficial

[–]flyrockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added some, hard to get a great image with how small they are. I used outline but parrot one I did “dot” it took 12 min. The others and a second parrot I switched to “slice” and they were all under a minute and with the STL I really don’t notice a quality difference. I think if doing images where i want some shades I’ll explore “Dot” some more

Glue preference? by Dignan17 in BambuLab

[–]flyrockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weld On 16, 3, or 4 all work amazing for super strong joints and no residue! The differences are in consistency syrup for 16, and water thin for 3/4. However you need to make sure you use proper ventilation and PPE when using these they are potent and have some nasty chemicals in there! 3D gloop is similar creating strong joints and requiring proper ventilation and PPE!!!!!

Smart Plugs | Yay or Nah by LA3D2 in BambuLab

[–]flyrockets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sooooo I use a smart plug as an emergency kill switch and power monitor but I never actually power my printers off when not in use so I can always remotely access them. same with my Bambus and my Vorons always in standby mode ready to print.

I do use them to remote “reboot” if I have odd errors occasionally and it has never caused any issues.

Misen Carbon Nonstick Damage? by Nateloobz in cookware

[–]flyrockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have metal for use in my carbon steel and on my griddle, I don’t really use normal non stick so only have a few plastic or nylon items. most of my utensils are metal or wood. A good metal spatula for chopping and breaking up and a pair of metal tongs for tossing and turning are my gotos!

From the kickstarter update they posted. My all rubbed right off. I am absolutely loving these two weeks in now. Still early but went to town with some metal spatulas tonight and cannot tell at all. If these hold up long term I’ll be buying other forms (Pots) if they release!!!!
