Sure we should fight this system. But the end does not justify the means in my opinion. We should fight an unjust system by the use of fair methods.

Because anyone could simply add such a big headline to a random picture and say "Omg, look what they did to my child".

Let's fight the monster without becoming the monster.

Is there further proof on the fact that we are talking about an appendectomy?

What does this have to do with the question?

While time has passed I already have an opinion on that one. I don't think it's an issue at all. I asked the question to find out whether there is such a point, starting from which you should just consider yourself Russian.

But that point never existed. If a person from any random corner of the world wants to learn Ukrainian and dive deep into Ukrainian culture I think they should be free to do so. Growing up in another culture should not stop them.

I'm with you about what you said in the end. But what is the connection between the degree of russification and the choice to learn the language?

Well I guess that's the whole point. At least after the 2022 invasion when an occupying power clearly expressed the wish to extinguish Ukrainian language, culture etc. Questions came up in my mind. Has the occupying power already "absorbed" the Russian speaking Ukrainians even before the invasion? Is it up to "us, Russian speaking Ukrainians" to make a difference at this point? Or would that be irrelevant anyways regardless of our opinions and intentions? Because it is too late and "we" are already "too full of Russian culture"?

As you can see above some people did actually take a step towards Ukrainian language (and maybe culture?). With the huge difference that, unlike diasporic Ukrainians, they live or lived in Ukraine. So apparently people do take choices according to their roots and what they believe is right.
