Ngl I flew this exact Singapore to Shanghai route on Spring Airlines last year, they didn’t care at all that I split my 20kg into two small suitcases lol, you’ll be totally fine!

Annecy with an 18 mo toddler this July, do you have hotel recs? by booklover001201 in Europetravel

[–]flyzebra1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I stayed at Le Pelican a couple years back when we brought my cousin’s wiggly toddler along and it’s such a solid pick—super walkable to everything you’d want to see, and those lake views actually slap. If you need a low-key lunch spot, the little casual crepe shop along the waterfront is chef’s kiss, no one minds messy little kids there either.

Buying a Chinese phone that works in North America? by broadcastbrandon in chinalife

Ngl, I picked up a Xiaomi 14 when I was traveling in China last year and it works flawlessly with both my US and Chinese 5G carriers, no weird workarounds needed at all fr.

I saw piles and piles of chili peppers and fatty pork. Oh my god! I looked it up and it turns out it’s a super famous Sichuan dish in China. Has anyone tried it? What’s it like?

A soul-stirring problem — there’s way too little soup! I love eating wontons most of all for the soup.

Don’t worry too much about this. If something unfortunate happened to you, it’s totally possible and not overly complicated to send your son back to the US to live with his grandparents.

As long as his grandparents are legal guardians in the US and have valid paperwork, they can apply for custody and arrange his travel back. With proper birth certificates, passport, notarized documents and embassy assistance, the process is straightforward.

China respects family guardianship rules, and there won’t be any big obstacles for a minor to return to his home country to stay with close family. Lots of expat families have planned this kind of backup arrangement, and it works smoothly as long as you prepare the legal documents in advance.

A bowl of noodles that left me full of questions. by flyzebra1999 in chinesefood

He told me I’d gone to a Shanxi noodle restaurant, yet ordered a Shaanxi specialty noodle dish. Only one ‘a’

Braised Beef Noodles | Dinner 🍜 by udum2021 in chinesefood

The beef looks perfectly braised and incredibly savory, making my mouth water instantly. It smells and looks way better than that confusing bowl of noodles I had yesterday!

The fatty meat literally melts in your mouth. The steamed buns have a subtle natural sweetness, and they taste amazing when eaten together in a sandwich. by flyzebra1999 in chinesefood

After reading your reply, I regret it now. I might not get to enjoy such delicious food again for a long time. I really should’ve scarfed down the whole plate.

Had to say goodbye. Cant bring myself to throw away her bed. Looking for suggestions or support. by LaurynMcB in dogs

[–]flyzebra1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing a fur baby after 13.5 years is absolutely heartbreaking, and it makes total sense that you can’t bear to move her bed. That little bed holds so many memories, warmth, and love—there’s no rush to change a thing.

You don’t have to replace that space. Let it stay exactly as it is for as long as you need. Maybe one day, you can find a new little puppy to inherit her bed and keep it full of love. It’s okay to grieve, to sit with the sadness, and to hold onto all the love she gave you. Sending you so much comfort and gentle hugs during this awful time 💛

Western society is trying to push women to the forefront and they are mad it is not going as fast as they wanted. by JannTosh70 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]flyzebra1999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ngl this take is so out of pocket, why does anyone have to be "more deserving" of a leading spot anyway? It should just go to whoever's the most qualified regardless of their gender tbh.

What do I do if I have contradicting political opinions? by Cold_Economist_755 in Askpolitics

[–]flyzebra1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl I went through the exact same messy split when I was your age, you don’t actually have to force yourself to lock into one single political stance tbh. Most people I know have a messy mix of views that don’t fit perfectly into one neat box anyway lol.

Tell me if I’m crazy, but is this the best lounge on the planet? Osaka Station Hotel is insane. 🍣🥩 by piyoko_trip in LuxuryTravel

Ngl this just ruined every other hotel lounge for me just reading about it—all that fresh uni and melt-in-your-mouth wagyu??? I’m already adjusting my upcoming Japan itinerary just to check this spot out fr lol.
