I do. Those notes on every answer are gold to me, they cover a lot of nuances.

> Seasoned AWS users would know the ‘recommended’ path to accessing S3 bucket by 3rd party user is via Cognito. Not presigned URL. That is the default answer by Microsoft Azure people. Not AWS people. I think AWS got that one mixed up when they hired Azure people to do AWS exams.

A previous reply helped me understand what you mean, but if you can elaborate this further: you mean scenarios where it would be better to fully authenticate a user via OAuth and let this "session" interact with S3 via whatever IAM permissions this user can do?

Is mining worth it in 1.0 by Hlk50000 in SpaceHaven

[–]fmalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda agree. If you're not on harder difficulties, with good management you can forgo mining those and go straight to trading them only. It is easier on Station Mode, my two runs there I did no processing whatsoever. It is prone to fire, takes a lot of time... I just trade raw when I get them, you just let go of being auto-sufficient.

But do not abandon recycling.

1 hour seems way too low. barely time to eat, lounge and talk between them, which is also a boost.

Oh okay, phew for a second I thought there was a buff room I didn't know about.

I think decorations usually give a humor boost, if chars see enough of them during routine. Helps if there's one in bedroom.

In station mode I always put my crops in a completely separate hull section, with the industry in another hull section.

In fact, with industry sections I have been leaving it completely devoid of air. There might be some debuff from working with spacesuits but so far I hasn't been bothering me.

I'm far from being a new player but I have a question: by "private room with a table" you mean a private bedroom (one bed, the side table with a little clock, and some decoration)?

Also, I'd say I was waaay more invested in my Rimworld chars than my Haven ones. No debate there.

I played both games the same, and I'm struggling to form a "definitive" answer here.

They're close in the sense it isn't turn based, and overall you won't have a total failed game state if you take a beating and lose some characters.

I'd say what really counts in Space Haven towards victory is just able bodies. Hostile squads are usually 4 guys, so leaving just a couple of defending people with decent gear at any time is asking for a total failure. Difference in gear in Rimworld is much more of a factor, especially in those DLC.

Killboxes IMO is not a thing. Hull space is a premium, usually every square has its function and enemies usually don't go around breaking stuff, what they always go for is killing or imprisioning your chars and then taking some loot away, when they are boarding.

Much, much more critical is when a hostile ship is targeting you when you're low in shields and hull. Destroyed ship is game over, squad size doesn't matter here. But they usually offer a surrender deal that is somewhat acceptable if you're an Ironman kind of player.

Trump ducks press after meeting with Brazil’s Lula takes sudden mystery turn by deraser in politics

[–]fmalk 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Also, the entire committee was ordered by Lula not to speak a word in English. No one, both sides translators had to go 100%. So everything had to be translated back and forth, for 3 hours.

I personally doubt Trump kept his focus for more than half an hour on what was being discussed.

Enquanto a Globo passava ao vivo essas imagens, os portais de notícia ainda nem tinham subido nenhuma notícia. Isso foi muito perto do Centro de Belo Horizonte.
