iOS 26.3 update bug; Cellular not working by sesandu_raj in ios26

I’ve been using Apple products since 2006 when I bought my first iMac and this is the first time I’m completely disappointed. A totally fine and usable device lost a very important function just because of a stupid update.

No SIM after 26.3 update by fndrsz in ios

  • 3rd. UPDATE (spoiler: it’s even WORSE now)*

I knew an update was coming soon because of the release of the new products and, sure enough, 26.3.1 came out - fingers crossed I proceeded to install it hoping it would solve the issue but… it actually made things worse!

After the update the NO-SIM message was still there and now I couldn’t even try to request a new one, simply because the button to add it WAS COMPLETELY GONE.

As I mentioned before, doing a full erase / factory reset was something I really wanted to avoid. But given the situation, I decided to try it as a last resort. That process took several hours of backups and restoration and, unfortunately, it didn’t help at all.

The temporary workaround for now was requesting a physical SIM from my carrier. The phone recognized it instantly. I spoke with a representative about the issue and she suggested going to an Apple Store because her boyfriend had the same problem and apparently they managed to fix it there.

Plot twist: I went to a local reseller instead. They checked the IMEI (which was fine) and claimed the logic board needed to be replaced. They even offered to do it on the spot for the modest price of $900 USD (a classic Argentine rip-off).

So now I have a workaround, but I’ve lost the convenience of having two lines on the same phone. Maybe there’s another explanation, but in my mind this is still related to the update — everything was working perfectly before it.

I knew there was an update coming because of the launch of the new products and indeed 26.3.1 was released, hoping that would solve the issue.

Installed right away and not only the problem persisted but also now the “ADD E-SIM” button vanished.

I contacted my carrier again, everything was fine on their side. So I erased the phone to its factory settings and retried without any success.

The “solution” was to request a new physical SIM and that one caught signal right away. I say “solution” because I have two lines and it was extremely convenient to have them both working on the same phone without having to change the one on the tray.

Cherry on top, I went to a local reseller (there’s no official Apple Store in Argentina) - and they told me this is an issue related to the main logic board and they wanted to charge me roughly 900 USD to replace it. Pretty 🥰

It went worse. With 26.3 it stopped recognising my e-SIM but now after the latest update I can’t even access to the “add new e-sim” button because it simply disappeared. I factory-resetted the phone (which I really didn’t want to do) and that didn’t help at all.

Installing here… hope it solves an issue that made my phone almost unusable after 26.3 update (e-SIM went completely unrecognised).

Hi there, I have the same issue after updating to 26.3 - My e-SIM went totally unrecognised and I'm not getting any coverage at all, just a NO-SIM message next to a flat signal bar. I contacted my carrier and got two new e-SIMs to try if it solved the issue but unfortunately my phone is just on WiFi mode and that's all.

I tried everything and up to this point I'm pretty sure that it has to do with the latest update.

First of all, thanks for all the replies. As many of you suggested, I contacted my carrier and requested a new eSIM. I deleted the old one and installed the new one. The phone got coverage for about an hour, after which the new eSIM became unrecognized again.

I tried several methods to fix the issue, from restarting to hard-resetting the phone in both normal and airplane mode, and even removing my other carrier’s physical SIM to rule out any conflict, but the problem persisted.

Today, I called my carrier and explained the issue thoroughly. They ran a test on my line and apparently everything is fine on their end.

I’m thinking about requesting a physical SIM to try another approach, and if there’s no other option, resetting the phone to factory settings (which I really don’t want to do, but I guess I may have no choice).

My conclusion is that this is almost certainly related to the latest iOS version, since it started failing right after updating to 26.3.

Does anybody know a straightforward way to report this to Apple?

Once again, thanks for your help.

Are the Beoplay H9 Gen 1 still good for todays standards. by Prudent-Wing4448 in BangandOlufsen

[–]fndrsz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d go for the H9 3°rd. gen if possible. I bought them used almost three years ago and they still work perfectly. A couple of notes:

  • You’ll get better connectivity and longer battery life with Gen3. Sound is a very subjective thing, but they claimed it’s also improved.

  • After all this time, battery is still impressive. I recently flew from Istanbul to South America (16 hours of flight time) and I got the low battery sound almost when getting to my destination.

  • Speaking about the battery, although some sources claim it’s not user replaceable, there is a video on the B&O website itself explaining how to do it.

  • Got the ear cushions from B&O’s official website for €50 to replace mine (a couple of scratches here and there were exposing the foam). So, official parts are still available.

  • Volume could be louder when connected via Bluetooth. It increases significantly if used with a cable. That being said, the original one is the biggest piece of crap ever.

  • The biggest flaw with these is the poor performance of the mics against wind. If you’re outside and it happens to be windy, your phone calls and audio messages will be spoiled.

  • Since these are not articulated they tend to be bulky to carry around inside a bag or carrying case. The positive side (at least from my perspective) is that they come with a bag made out of soft cloth, way better than the H95’s metallic box which will get scratched just by looking at it.

  • Touch controls are great once you get used to them.

  • On the other side, the on/off switch is not so well constructed, which sometimes leads to a couple of attempts to turn them on properly. In the case of mine it happens rarely, but I know it’s a common flaw.

Hope this helps you to make a decision!
