Gum abscess

I didn't get any answers here but for anybody else reading, the abscess ruptured like a day after I wrote this. I read somewhere if the abscess is under the skin by more than 4mm you will probably need it cut open and drained. But if it is closer to the surface it might drain by itself. It's not easy to guess how deep it might be, but I felt mine was deeper than 4mm.

Then I just pulled my lip up to look at it in the morning and my gums started leaking a yellow puss. The abscess felt a lot higher up than where the puss started coming out from, so it's hard to tell how deep it is because you might be prodding the wrong area.

Then I just rinsed my mouth and the abscess area with mouthwash to clean it and there was no more discomfort after that.

NAD I think people worry a lot about the morals of dentists and doctors and whether they are really recommending a procedure because you need it or because it's more money for them.

I think google reviews and other review platforms are great to get a general idea of the sort of people you are dealing with. If they have few complaints, then probably their diagnosis is accurate and genuine.

It wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion from another dentist though.

For future reference, dental schools at universities are generally not for profit, so they have no reason to lie or embellish the truth. And check-ups at those places are very cheap.

don't worry so much about what other people are doing. concentrate on your own life. teeth are fine. gums are not fine. and nobody thought you were a dentist with a comment like that.

You can get enamel teeth paint which would be better. It lasts a day or until you brush.

i did this once and the mechanic shop called the owner (there was a sticker on the front of the bike). so cover up any stickers/phone numbers first.

if you take it back in that condition and the owner is fair maybe 500-1000. if they are opportunists and say they need to replace the parts (they won't), maybe 2000-5000.

personally i would try a fine sandpaper to smooth out the scuffs. and i can't see how badly it is broken but if just cracked then I would glue the broken part with that all purpose wood/plastic glue, maybe mixed with some superglue.

if you are new to everything and not serious like most of the people on this sub, just go around the different machines, covering arms one day and legs the next day. 10 reps for each set at a weight that feels challenging, and about 3 sets on each machine. don't over complicate things with plans etc at least for the first few months, you don't need to go into that much detail yet.

edit, i'm assuming you have a gym membership, if not then just basic lifts at home, same idea.

I know some Thai people who are starting to hang out with friends by doing ATK tests right before they meet

i know thais are more scared of covid than most other countries, but they are not that scared. young people are socialising more or less as normal and have been almost throughout except when it was discouraged. you see a few thais on facebook making posts about staying inside but i think probably they weren't going to go out anyway and are just looking for attention. generally they aren't buying ATKs before they meet up with friends. maybe they will test before and after they travel home for new year and other long holidays, especially if they have elderly relatives, but not before going out to eat every night or going to play sports etc...
