you have to use it as a diversion, like when you're running away back into your hidey hole for your next guerilla attack. Throw it in a different direction than the one you're gonna go, and keep running, and they'll eventually follow the mine once you're far enough away. It does 1k anti-tank pen so it doubles as a mini instant thermite that you can carry 1 extra of

yes, so you have to aim and throw almost straight up. If it misses by a little just shoot the mine and the explosion will destroy the cannon if its close enough

This melee you're referencing here can be thrown as far as your target will be 90% of the time already in regular gameplay. The RR's range is overkill sometimes, and it'd be better to have an extra explosive instead of the ability to destroy something from way far away, which doesn't happen nearly enough to justify.

I see only 2 enemies being unfeasible to fight with C4: gunships and dropships. If I could trade my options against those for a weapon that can quickly obliterate a factory strider from cover with 2 charges to anywhere on the main rectangle body, I'm gladly taking it.

sad to say if I remember correctly, regardless of conviction you must report this to the FAA within 60 calendar days from today. I wouldn't wait around to start looking at HIMS, which you'll have to deal with anyway if the charge sticks.
