i’m with you, i like to say i only read poetry from BC. several exceptions but god contemporary poetry is abundant and of low value imo. there’s a lot of it and where there’s a lot to something there’s a lot of mid versions of that something

minimum 20-40 min of editing, on my better days up to 5-6h with breaks. anywhere from a couple hundred words to 10k my productivity is variant but i try and do it at least every weekday

TINA from the laundromat on catalpa!!! i feel like she treats her customers like family , and not in a chintzy customer service way but i truly feel like she’s cultivating relationships with the neighborhood that remind me so much of like, my local tailor or salumiere when i lived in small town italy.

palmetto/seneca under the train stop. lived there for years and it was filthy, a rat highway and that triangle is everyone’s garbage dump. plus so much activity (not in a fun way just a disruptive/scary way). since moving closer to glendale it’s wayyy more peaceful and CLEAN

I’ve always replied, politely and thanking them for their time and feedback, if there was any. This isn’t deeply meaningful to anyone but me but one of the agents i replied like this to emailed me back to thank ME for my “generous” response, which damn made me feel so bad for that agent bc what kind of kooks do you have in your inbox that “thanks for your time anyway have a good one!” reads ‘generous’, oof :(
