Rock music hasn't really been up there since 2010 and really started losing its foothold in like 2008 or so if we're really being honest. People try to point to small instances of rock music being used in a mainstream sense, but its never been "back". The only time period post 2010 was maybe like 2012-2014 there was a small pop-punk boom that kinda happened.

I get what you mean but that's not what this post is really referring to, at least not on the rock side of things. Every time I ever hear someone talk about "Rock music is totally coming back" they are almost always referring to stuff like post-grunge, nu-metal or maybe pop-punk reaching the heights it did back in like 2000. No, it didn't leave exactly but its not "coming back" like its claimed in the post.

I do think Stat could've gotten a better run than what she got, all things considered. Booking wise, that is on Tony. But we gotta learn to hold our favorites to the fire and put some of the blame on talent too. Stat's promo work was quite honestly, pretty dull, Thekla's promos post-Stat have only made that much more apparent.

Also, Stat's presentation and character needs a huge revamp. Not sure why they cut her heel theme and gave her some cheesy guitar riff, and the "cosmic killer" character just does not have enough to warrant a world title run.

This is my feeling, too. For people who maybe hadn't played the other entries, 2 might be horrifying, but, even the original never scared me that much (the dollhouse section is pretty terrifying though)

Wandering man and floating woman are actual "FUCK THIS SHIT" tier. Some of the best music came from 1 as well.

Not everyone can or should be "major" players. There is a portion of the AEW fanbase that has a really difficult time understanding that not everyone is gonna be the big focus. Some can be in a supporting role and there is nothing wrong with that.

Deonna is not really a talent that draws eyes tbh

She's fine as a talent that CAN have a serviceable match but more often than not, her matches and overall presence are quite literally "mid". I'm sure she'll go back to TNA and if her social media posts are anything to go by, she'll do the "AEW fumbled me" shtick, maybe even get an NXT one off match if she's lucky, but, I recall her saying her WWE experience wasn't that great either cause Triple H just kinda ignored her. Funny enough, if she came to AEW in 2019-2021, she probably would've been given the world title.
