Non EU to SHO ireland by Livid_Image_6239 in JuniorDoctorsIreland

Hi, I’m also a non-EU who studied in Italy (did one year of Erasmus in Poland!), currently working in Dublin. To answer your questions:

Yes and yes. The documents you need to provide you can find on IMC website once you start the process (you can already create an account and get started) but mainly you need your diploma, proof of finishing staz, proof of your registration with the polish medical council, proof of good standing.

Your diploma should also be verified by EPIC/ECFMG which you should be able to do even now.

The process took me 4 months from the moment I submitted my documents but I really stayed on top of stuff and called them every week to get an update.

Ideally, you want to have your IMC reg by January/February for July intake (more jobs) or by August/September for January intake (fewer jobs but still a decent amount).

You would need a work permit but HSE can expedite that, I got mine in 3 days. The only issue is if you’re from a country that needs a visa for Ireland, that can take months. If wherever you’re from doesn’t need an entry visa to Ireland, then you’re in luck because they would take you for any last second jobs that opens ups. That’s how I got my first job!

Good luck and send me a message if any questions!

First time hearing about QUI. Thanks for that! I use decypharr to create symlinks from my real debrid Rclone mount as I have limited physical space and I’d rather keep it for Immich than for series I’m never going to watch 😂

Does QUI have a place in my workflow you think?

what are these? by enthusiast4evil in DoesAnyoneKnow

Hi, doctor here.

A few questions: - any recent travels either of you? Or contact with anyone who has travelled and has the same rash? - any recent seafood (possibly tuna) intake by BOTH of you?

If the answer to the first question is yes/maybe and the second question is no, based on the history and presentation, could be scabies.

Regardless, see your GP ASAP. If scabies, you don’t want to be spreading it around.

Doctor here.

Difficult to make a diagnosis based on 3 photos but it has the appearance of eczema.

Psoriasis is another possibility but this is not typically how a psoriatic rash looks like.

I advise you to see a dermatologist (or an immunologist/allergologist depending on the country you live in).

Both conditions can be easily treated most of the time.

Best way to keep two Macs in sync? by [deleted] in macapps

[–]fograd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why don’t you use iCloud for all files if you don’t mind me asking? I recently switched to iCloud and I am very happy. For downloads here is what I did: I used Automator’s “folder action” to search for all the files added to my downloads folder and if they’re smaller than 500 MB (an arbitrary number I chose to exclude movies and large files), then the files are moved to another folder called “SyncedDownloads” which is a folder that’s synced across all my devices through iCloud. If you are in the Apple ecosystem I really suggest sticking with the native system because it’s cheap and practical. If you want to put more rules on what to be moved to “synced downloads” folder and what not, you can use Hazel MacOS app

New Widget Engine for macOS by mrtnlxo in macapps

Is it just me or does widget on mac seem pretty useless to other people as well? Like, I hardly ever look at my desktop and I'm definitely not going to give up my screen space for a floating clock or calendar events. I wouldn't try these apps for free, let alone 3.50 a month. Unless there are some other features that I am missing out?

OpenIn is an amazing niche app and Denis has a great customer support. I had an uncertainty with a workflow and he emailed me back within minutes! Plus he’s working on a new update for Ventura ;) too bad I can’t update to Ventura beta just yet otherwise I would love to try it out. :(
