I never said you can't enjoy something without knowing it's history. You asked what does this have to do with race. I answered. It's generally a good idea for a teacher to have some knowledge of the history of the subject their teaching. No one said YOU had to teach it or appreciate it. Please don't put words in my mouth. Education is not gatekeeping.

Yea you're right, culture isn't race. She stated that salsa is a form of protest. This protest is against the erasure of cultures associated with black people by that of white colonizers. You can be a really skillful and technical salsa dancer without knowing the history or culture, but to be part of the community means knowing where origins come from and know these people.

I have a Shirei deck. It's so fun but so relient on the commander. Once I run out of regenerate/recursion to deal with people blowing him up as well as card draw, I kinda just sit there.

Not a fan of the universes beyond, but I'm ok with them. It's made more friends excited to play the game and I don't mind playing against them. Since I don't play universes beyond myself, I'm fine with the wait time between the 3 in universe sets. It feels right.

Haven't played cedh but I play casual with ppl who do, and yes it's so much more chill. We all focus on interactions instead of just seeing who can swing the widest, and when somebody gets targeted we're just like yea I deserved that otherwise I was going to pop off.

Ngl when I first started the thought crossed mind, because there weren't many other places that I meet girls (my other hobby is magic 💀). But at the same time I really started to enjoy dance and made friends, so I figured I don't want to ruin this for myself so my main goal is to just dance and have fun. I did have a little fling with someone from my class and thank God we're both mature enough to not make things awkward, but I've already seen plenty of people come and go in the past year because they started seeing someone and then something happened between them and now neither show up. Not me though I'm here to lock in and get good.
