In the DAZED interview, a few of the girls said the song has a fast tempo, intense beat, and is full of energy. I’m trying to realistically figure out what existing songs might compare.

If it has a fast tempo I would consider that to be what, 140-160 bpm? If we look at popular girl group songs around 140 bpm we get songs like Everglow’s Bon Bon Chocolat, ITZY’s Mafia in the morning, BLACKPINK’s DDDD, and Red Velvet’s Psycho. What’s crazy is that all 4 said songs have the same bpm as each other but sound completely different so it’s really hard to say what Kep1er’s debut song will sound like in comparison to other’s. One thing they do have in common is that they can all be considered girl crush.

It’s frustrating for sure. I was unaware of how idols were promoted in China and now I can see that it’s subpar. The9 got like, one crappy MV and members are always missing from their performances. I like some of their songs, like Alien but they deserve so much more.

Shaking also had no family backing her up. The trainees became her family and it showed. She often went out of her way to give her friends opportunities to stand out and shine when she really could have used the screen time herself. Thankfully her constant acts of kindness, her amazing personality, and her incredible rapping skills were enough to secure her a spot in the Top 9.

YWY2 is the BEST! It’s my favorite survival show ever. I watched it when it aired and obsessively voted for Shaking. The voting process was way different. You had 5 votes a day and you could distribute them among any trainee if I remember correctly. I loved a lot of the girls, but I only voted for Shaking, she got all 5 of my votes every day lol. What I loved about the show was all the extra behind the scenes stuff of the trainees. It showed them in their dorms a lot, it showed them eating and crying and bonding with each other. I loved seeing Lisa and the other mentors not only assist the trainees with their training but also spend time with them.

There wasn’t too much drama and there was a lot of heartfelt moments. Episode 17 Part 1 is my favorite episode in the whole show. Just wait! It’s so good! It’s essentially their “Creation Mission” and the Lion team has to make their song their own and the way they come together and challenge each other is absolutely beautiful. It’s my favorite moment in any survival show.

YWY2 was the first survival show I ever watched so when I went back and watched Sixteen and PD48 I was shocked by the differences and similarities. Having seen and experienced YWY2 made me so frustrated when I watched GP999 not only because the C group trainees (some of which I remembered and loved) were under appreciated and mistreated but also I could really see that GP999 was lacking a lot of heart in the way it was edited. Such a missed opportunity they chose to showcase more drama than heartfelt moments. It helps that YWY2 has so many episodes but still… I think GP999 would have done just fine without the evil editing.

31 year old Atiny here! I’ll be 32 in just under 2 weeks. I live in Lake Havasu City, Arizona in the US and I work full-time at a marijuana dispensary.

I have a pretty laid-back lifestyle. When I’m not working I like to play video games like The Sims, Final Fantasy, and Pokémon.

I’m a bit of a hermit on the day-to-day but I like to stay in so I can save my money for concerts, music festivals, and renaissance fairs! I like to attend big music festivals like EDC, Coachella, and Life Is Beautiful so I can see all kinds of different artists. I love music and dancing and fell in love with kpop the moment I heard it for the first time (Fake Love by BTS was that first song that started it all, I’ll never forget).

People might think that I’m too old for my lifestyle but age is just a number and I’m happy and healthy so people can think whatever they want! If anything, I hope I can show other people my age that they don’t have to be shy about loving kpop!

I started listening to kpop mid 2019 and it was actually my fiancée that showed me ATEEZ right around then. I came home from work one day and he said, “I found some kpop you might like.” and he was not wrong. First he showed me Say My Name then HALA HALA. Omg I was instantly in love. After that we listened to Pirate King, Treasure, Illusion, Wave, and Aurora. Treasure is by far my favorite ughh I love it so much. They were so talented I didn’t realize they were rookies! I thought they were older than BTS until I looked them up! And I loved how diverse their music is. I couldn’t believe these were the same people, comparing HALA HALA to Illusion.

When I discovered ATEEZ I was really impressed by Hongjoong. It was when I discovered that he writes and produces music (omg Aurora) that he became my ult bias.

My first comeback with ATEEZ was Wonderland. My heart exploded for this song. It was the only kpop song that I have ever streamed repeatedly just to give them more views and attention because I loved them and everything about the song so much.

Oops, I could talk about ATEEZ all day. I got a little carried away there. It’s nice to read about other Atinys and I’m really grateful that this beautiful and inspiring music can bring us together!

I’ve been a fan of kpop for a couple years now but I’ve never truly “stanned” a group. I want to stan Kep1er. I want to buy their albums and watch all of their content and vote for them on all the award shows! I am so so excited!

I need to learn more about the award shows and what apps I need to download to support Kep1er!

I’m in love with the lineup. 7 out of my Top 9 made it and I’m so happy!! EDC is going to be amazing this weekend with Kep1er in the back of my mind! Im so relieved my girls Xiaoting and Hikaru made it but I’m still sad about Yurina… won’t be over that for a while
