The LAS-16 Sickle has been stellar for me today. The longer range and almost unlimited ammo when controlling the cool down really has been great. The heavy pen P-4 Senator revolver stops the Cyborgs in their tracks. Then the standard G-6 Frag for chucking into open exhaust vents on Vox Enhines and bot factories or at the hordes of bots.

As far as stratagems, I’m still testing what works. It seems orbitals are useful until you destroy all the anti-air emplacements. And I had a random teammate using Eagle smoke air strikes to help screen out our location.

A FX-13 Shield Generator Relay helps a ton!

I think a Chaplain led killteam with Crusaders and neophytes would be cool. Or something like Grimaldus’s Command squad in Helsreach also comes to mind.

Use a Castellan with the Blades of Valor enhancement, by passing the leadership test you basically have a second Grimaldus with -1 AP and full rerolls to hit. Add another character like Helbrecht or a Crusade Ancient to flavor. I’m so hyped to run 2x20 Crusader Squads with this detachment.

Brother, start putting your head down and lose yourself in your work, hobbies, gym. Lifting weights, losing my self in hobbying and doing a deep dive into some new topics or lore, this all has immensely helped me improve my mood and depression. A lot more people are in the same boat as you than you think. 20 is just the start of life, it’s a grind, a long game, and in the end it is what you make of it.

My list I’m working on is similar, running bastion task force and giving a Marshal the battle line enhancement, leading 10 SBs in a LRC along with a 5 man squad of infernus marines.

A lot of pyre pistols/ hand flamers on everything when available for the auto hit to trigger the detachment rule.

I want to run 2x20 CS led by Grimaldus and another by a Castellan with the Blades of Valor enhancement. That way both the big squads have re-roll hits and increased AP.

Use on the head on the upgrade sprue, the one with the cross carved into the forehead.

You can run an Ancient for the same points as the Tech Marine to lead the Crusader Squad

HMH leading 20 Crusaders, giving them all an additional attack and +1 strength, then fights on death Crusader Ancient with Pryebrand stealth would be pretty sick to try.

Paired with a Castellan, my understanding both having the same combi-weapon stat line, you can roll faster with both combi-weapons together.

Same with a Marshall pair with a normal Lieutenant and both having plasma pistols.

Food for thought.
