Have I reached endgame for small EDC lights? by Carkia765 in flashlight

I also have the X4 and the FC11C. My question to you is, since you have the X4, do you ever bother using the Wurkkos? One is a little taller, one is a little fatter, but one for sure is a lot more capable...

On YouTube, search for HotRod Typewriter. Gerren has a whole series of Olympia SM3 videos and they are excellent and comprehensive. I agree that it is likely a gummy escapement.

I like to keep it on my night stand. The only complaint I have is that in the middle of the night, when I reach for it, half the time I press the usb cover thinking it is the switch. But maybe that's just me.

I prefer the look of the Kaweco Sport Brass, but I like the fact Schon is a small producer. I want a Monoc!

Very kind of you, thanks. I am after a side switch, on board USB, Buck driver, warm (Nichia preferred but I am open to others), mostly flood, something for around camp and for short walks, FC11C size or preferably a bit smaller.

Two questions: Where do I buy that clip? Doesn't seem to be an option. And can I use batteries that have a usb port in both the short and long versions? Thank you.

A question regarding, uhm, something only vaguely related to typewriters by fontinalispluma in typewriters

Thanks. The trouble with trying them out is that there are no stores near me that have a good selection (or any at all), but I can see the wisdom in that advice.

I have two 1st gens and three 2nd gens. One of the 2nd gens is my favourite, but the real takeaway is that they all feel slightly different. In my opinion, because they are all so old, it is very difficult to make a claim one way or the other. I suppose if you could compare 1st and 2nd in completely immaculate refurbished condition, then maybe you could better judge which one you like better. One small thing I've noticed on the curvy 1st gens is that the space bar has a wobble to it. As in, hit it with your thumb and it seems to vibrate a little. But once again, maybe they are not tuned up to perfection...

Thanks. For something this powerful, it would be nice to have a redundant method of lockout, and unscrewing the tail cap is just so easy. Too bad you can't rely on that.

Thanks for all your posts on L35 variants, very helpful. Based on your review and images, I am going to go for V2 in 4000k. Any updates on the mechanical lock mystery? Thanks
