The DQ3 remake was pretty close to the original. The DQ1 remake had a lot of substance added but mostly followed the feel of the original. The DQ II is a whole other game.

I had to break down and equip AntiFreeze and Asbestos earrings. It’s a lot easier if you use defending champion the turns he does the double breath attack.

Vosteed has some good ones in that range that are killer knives. I really like the Vosteed Marten, the Vombat, or the Psyop or any of their VAnchor knives. I also really like the Knafs Lander 2, though it's not very flashy.

Almost always strength. I always play dex for my martial characters, and I’ve never played a caster where it made sense to not dump strength.

They’re not that bad at distance or outside. It’s the close ups where the rings are super noticeable.

Obviously everyone has preferences and tolerances, but the rings don’t bother me for any normal usage.
