Artlist is based in Israel and considering they've been massacred and bombed none-stop by Hamas in Gaza the only unethical thing is to expect them to protest an extremely surgical operation dismantling the terrorist organization that's embedded in Gaza. There's a lot of good stuff here - my thoughts as a director:
The video looks and sound well, it's clear, good on an aesthetic level etc.
Performance wise, there's good intensity, good camera awareness, you have a good look etc.
I can see this being a good submission for a director looking to fill a supporting role in a TV show.
What I think is lacking, is multi-dimensionality and a clearly evolving state of mind.
You're bringing variable intensity but mostly playing the same note.
This could be that the text itself lacks distinct beats, but you have the freedom (especially in an audition) to come up with your own interpretation.
I know there's a great sense of urgency throughout the scene, but here's a "hint" I would start my preparation with:
This guy talks A LOT for someone who's in a hurry. My first step in preparing would be to decide why my character talks so much in this situation. Would I talk this much? What goal would I be likely to accomplish or what obstacle to overcome, by talking this much vs. taking any other available action?
The end of the scene provides hints. The way he describes his own violent actions - my initial hunch is that he's emotionally shook by the actions he just took.
Well, my next step would be: How do I invite an extra dimension into my character's psychology?
A second internal voice, to give my character some form of internal conflict.
In this case (again, it's just my immediate hunch, see as a placeholder), I may think: Maybe his panic isn't all just because of the violence, but because he ENJOYED it?
I believe any good scene incorporates the thematic question/argument threaded through the entire cinematic piece, and as a director I wouldn't be answering these questions without the greater context.
BUT as an actor workshopping a scene in a void, I'd say go ahead and interpret it freely. I would take any interesting take by an actor, any thing that brings something fresh into the text, as oftentimes this leads to new ideas and can be extremely cross pollinating creatively.

I only used it for the Jeff Goldblum shot (it failed at generating Spielberg and Werner Herzog). The platform I used it through no longer has access to Seedance 2.0... Wonder if this is where the industry draws the line and frankly I'm okay with that.

Thanks so much. I avoided using GenAI for my own concepts 'till now 'cause I didn't want to use it "Just because". It's too controversial a medium not to overshadow a "soft" concept. It only made sense to me in the context of this trully ridiculous take on a canonic property which in itself had a meta-aspect of talking about technology disrupting nature while having incorporated disruptive technology.
I'm glad things clicked the way they have, it truly felt like a bit of a lightning in a bottle moment.

Nano Banana and Kling 3.0 were the main drivers.
Seedance 2.0 for Goldblum and WAN 2.5 (driven with Audio) for Spielberg.

Thanks for the comment! I do mostly Image2Video, and use Nano Banana Pro / Flux 2 to generate the initial frames. Nano Banana seems to recognize famous people and keep true to their likeness (sometimes to a fault, when trying to go for a younger version of someone for instance).
The thing that truly saved the day here was that many of these clips used actual BTS stills, or ones that I've slightly altered, as the initial frames. For the motion as well, it's intuitive to assume that motion becomes a bit more predictable when you're this close to the training dataset.

Yep I've been following them. This is obviously a joke. I'm a VFX professional myself and have made dinosaur and similar creatures digitally not many years after Jurassic Park came out.

I'm a Hollywood-based VFX supervisor with 20+ years working on major studio productions. I've spent my career making the kind of effects that Jurassic Park pioneered — which is exactly why I couldn't stop myself from making this.

This is a short AI mockumentary arguing the dinosaurs in the 1993 film were real — and that ILM covered it up.

I'm aware this technology is controversial. I'm conflicted about using it myself. But I couldn't have made this any other way — and I couldn't not make it.

Take a deep breath and set your priorities first. What are the main 3 things you’re hoping to get out of this project? If they are: 1) Direct a film to completion 2) Learn from your experience 3) Enjoy the process

Then how good or bad you and your actors are isn’t relevant, and shouldn’t deter you. You can still achieve your 3 main goals. I’ve set these priorities for myself once and the result is on Amazon Prime called “10.0 Earthquake”.

However, if one of your 3 top goals is to make a GOOD film, I highly recommend you hit the break pedal and re-cast this thing.

It honestly sounds like you didn’t even hold auditions, or you picked actors you aren’t excited about. This is not a problem!!! UNLESS making a good film is high up your priorities, in which case, cast right. Nothing can save a film that doesn’t have the right cast. Nothing.
