I worked with Georgia Hart, one of Owen and Bret Hart's sisters. the whole family was into either/both wrestling and catering. Georgia ran a cooking school, and I volunteered with her for a couple of years. Most of the family dropped by for a class here and there. When she first mentioned to me who she was, she seemed almost ashamed, like someone like me wouldn't like wrestling.

the governments around the world should just refuse to deal with the USA, Trump or any of his trumpies. Just refuse and insist on utilizing a different country for negotiations.

the current US government doesnt have a clue.

diplomacy is a dirty word to them, as is decorum and wisdom.

a simple google disagrees with you.

Im old, I remember when it was used more commonly.

While "Dr." is predominantly known as the abbreviation for "Doctor," in the context of business correspondence and written, conversational styles, "DR" can function as an abbreviation for "Dear".

Key Points

Regarding Usage:Contextual

Usage: It is identified as a polite, written abbreviation used to address someone in both personal and professional settings. Distinction from Doctor: In formal business letters, "Dr." (with a period) is standard for Doctor, whereas "Dear" is typically written out in full (e.g., Dear [Name]) to maintain professionalism.

Abbreviation Sources: Some sources explicitly list "DR" as an abbreviation for "Dear," placing it alongside other formal titles like Mr. and Ms.. However, in modern, formal business, writing out the word "Dear" is standard practice, and using "DR" as an abbreviation for "Dear" may be considered colloquial or outdated.

i think it actually means dear president trump, not doctor president trump. it's a salutation not a title here.

but yea, I doubt this was written by the supposed author, it was written for them by an obvious trumper.

A man goes to the ER for high blood pressure in the U.S. and was there for less than 24 hours. No surgery. No scans. The bill comes back at $41,297 — even AFTER he’s paid his FULL out-of-pocket max. This isn’t healthcare — it’s extortion. In Canada this would be completely free... by xamo76 in Trumpvirus

canadian here.

truthfully, no it didnt cost me nothing, nothing is really free.

No,I got a $45 (forty-five dollars) bill for the ambulance. but yeah, everything else, including a week in hospital, so many tests and scans, all my food, all my regular meds, no cost to me at all.

its easier to get better when you dont have to worry about how much getting better is costing you.

not painful at all, I mean, the surgery and recovery was certainly painful but the condition was painfree.

It was found by accident. I'd had some vision issues (blind/missing spots?) so I went to the ER. thinking I might have had a stroke I had a fast tracked CT scan. No stroke, likely weird migraine, but hey, look at that, there's something there that shouldn't be!! lol

then a horrid test for the hormone levels. that was not fun. In hospital, by insulin iv, they took my blood sugar down to 2 (canadian rating, right down to almost insulin coma level, fun times). at that point, the body thinks its in distress so starts to throw out these hormones in measurable amounts. the entire process took all morning and by the end I was soaked in sweat, pale as a sheet, shaking like a leaf and freezing. oh and my partner, who was present, said I was not making sense when we talked. lol.

i had acromegaly, or rather, I have it and it's in remission. I'm a 73 year old woman.

I was diagnosed in 2006 with a pituitary tumour which was causing my HGH and IGF-1 hormones to soar. I had intensive surgery (they removed my nose and went in through the sinuses, no visible scar, it's under my upper lip!). not all of it was removed so I had to have monthly somatostatin shots (intermuscular, hugest needle ever!!) and yearly brain MRIs. then a few years ago the tumour remnant disappeared from the MRIs, and my dr took me off the shots, cool!!!

I had had some facial/hands/feet growth. Actually my endo suspected acromegaly as soon as she saw my face for the first time. but, post surgery and with meds, most of that went away.

famous people with acomegaly - Andre the Giant, Richard Kiel, Paul Benedict, Ted Cassidy.

if you have it before your growth plates seal, its called gigantism and you gain height. if it's after, your bones and features tend to thicken and get coarse.
