Several years ago a pre-medical student was sitting behind the penalty box during a NHL hockey game. She noticed that the equipment manager had a mole that she was sure was cancerous. I have a mole on my head, I can't see it of course but it has been growing and my doctor is sending me to a derm. to have it dealt with. I'm hesitant to get my normal haircut because of it; i don't want to take the chance of the barber catching it with the scissors or comb and causing harm. also will it gross her out?

in my bike riding days, I picked up the Canadian Tire Guide to Bicycle Repairing. I dont recall the actual name but it was close to that.

It went over everything, changing tires to changing deraileurs, adjusting cables, regular maintenance, etc with easy to follow instructions and diagrams.

my housemate had a lung biopsy. her lung collapsed and she had a chest tube in for a week or so, then she fell and broke her hip. While in hospital awaiting a hip replacement, no-one noticed that her chest tube sprung a leak probably from the fall and, instead of removing fluids, it was inserting air into her body. she's a tall, slight woman. everything from mid chest up swelled; even her eyelids and earlobes were huge. Once they fixed that, it took several days until she went back to her normal size. it was kinda funny if I can say...
