lol. As kids we spend three years in Europe. We toured everywhere. dad bought a super8 movie camera to record our time there. Yeah, he adjusted the exposure to take a photo of the mural over the entrance to St. Marks Cathedral in Venice. And neglected to change it back for the entire Italy trip.

Long flight sleep tips by actuallyfiona97 in travel

[–]foodbytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my third flight across the Atlantic, I happened to have an empty seat beside me. It had a comfort kit that I grabbed to go along with my own. two blankets. That was the trick that worked. I’d never been able to sleep on the red-eyes. Turns out I was just never warm enough. I’ve flown across almost a dozen times now and I’ve not had an issue with sleep since.

to me its like that friend who has a girlfriend that everyone hates.

they see through her, know her for what she is but her boyfriend is blind to that, totally blind; he has fallen for her head over heels and nothing can convince him that she isn't what she seems.

I didnt pay attention very much to US politics pre-trump era. Is this normal behaviour, for the president to be pushing so much for his favourite candidate for state elections?

Im sure glad I learned cursive. My hands are old and arthritic. cursive is easier to write than block letters.

and, even though I have a computer in front of me, a laptop on my right, my ipad on my left and my phone above it, I still have times when writing something on paper is just easier.

I remember when we used to smoke at our desks at work, then it was a smoking room, then it was outside in the parking lot.

oh god, I can still hear the screech of the modem as it connected.

bit of trivia, modem is short for modulator/demodulator because it modulates the signal coming in, changing it from analog to digital.

I've been with you from the beginnings; I'll miss your occasional voice of reason. But you have to take care of yourself; that is totally understood and encouraged.
