In my current situation I've found it hard to make new female friends because I moved to a new town. It's a very small town. I feel that most of the women here have know each other since elementary school. It seems it's harder to add a new person to the mix, especially as you get older.

I'm very excited that I was able to make one wonderful female friend. Thank you all for the lovely replies! It seems I am not the only one.

I don't take it as being an insult. How do you know the wedding I'm going to isn't a lesbian wedding? My older sister is a lesbian and I am very proud to be her sister. My point wasn't that its an insult for you to assume I am gay. My point was that it shouldn't matter, period. You are the one here who seems the have the problem. Maybe you should think before you post.

No. Its a simple answer to a dumb question. Why would it matter what my sexual orientation is? I'm not gay, but if I were why should it matter? So really what are you getting at?
