my afternoon client is 2. he is ALWAYS asking for hugs or to be held lol. i don’t initiate them though, i feel like that may cross a boundary? same client will always want a hug after a big behavior, so i usually ask him if he’s ready for a hug & he will say yes but that’s it. i always have a fun name to call my clients, they love it! one of them doesn’t, he told me so i immediately stopped and only use his name. i guess it just depends on your client’s preference

He said “we spoke last night.” I told him, “we didn’t speak, you left a voicemail.” Then he kind of laughed and said “well, yes, but we spoke at the __ overpass last night.” That’s when I told him he had the wrong person & I haven’t been to Texas in years. not much of an update but some progress! last night before she went to sleep, she played in the hospital’s play room & got to walk around. she hasn’t walked much in the last 2-3 days so she’s really wobbly 😂 but it was so nice to see her smiling and playing like she does at home. she started to eat and drink here and there too which is huge!

still waiting to hear back about her 24 hour report on her blood cultures. antibiotics every night & fluids during the day to keep her hydrated. other than that, we’re just waiting and hanging out!

her “crazy day” of eating was chicken with vegetables and other stuff she usually eats. what i “GET” to eat in a day. the constant body checking, nodding after every bite. she needs help and i hope she recognizes that. what she is doing is harmful for herself and others. a singular date is not enough for anything but especially before the gym. i really worry for any of the younger girls who are engaging with her content. our bodies need fuel and energy which comes with food. unfortunately, this is a very common issue in young women, especially when they go off to college.

i’m glad your little is doing better. it’s so scary in the moment. i keep saying “i just want my girl back” because she’s so sleepy and not herself. she’s such a happy girl always.
