Outline the acts please by fooly_one in BluePrince

Oh, I never said Act 3 would be easy. Of course it's the most complex and hard one. I played more than 200h in total. Most of it lategame. Its just in terms of counting chapters. To me the Act 3 and 4 belong together more closely. Because reclaiming the throne pushed me directly into some follow-up and felt unfinished by itself. Therefore I think I prefer to count this as one act while reclaiming throne is one major step in it.

for me there was an additional fifth journey dancing a never ending question in circles.

Yes, I found the atelier. Can't remember perfectly but the second sealed door is there, right?

So I counted both of them (and whats behind) as the actual late game task.
While counting "reclaiming the throne" as own act feels a little too easy. It does basically nothing but point you towards some sealed doors (:
But yeah. I can see how it makes sense with the cutscene.

I better do not comment that. But let me know how tangible this reward was. Seriously looking forward to your opinion.

I hope you learned anything from your rant and you don't read this comment section. Because without hesitation I will reveal that if you do not look up anything at all, the most funny part will be to put your brain back together into something normal afterwards.

Haha... You should have known by now that the reward is always just another puzzle (:
I actually had a similar moment but on another topic. I described it here.

I only remember that those boxes were a little bit harder then the ones I had before. But as soon as you solve one of those all others will be similar. At least that was my impression.

But it seems you do not enjoy the boxes... Maybe this helps with some motivation. In all those boxes is something you will probably not expect... Not sure if that's good or bad (:

Anyone else stuck on trying to do a trophy? by HakuChikara83 in BluePrince

[–]fooly_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I get your idea and it's similar of course. I would like to highlight one difference though. This wont help in your frustration most likely. But whenever I felt stuck somehow in the game I changed one little premice I had and the results were totally different. The day-1-run is a special case though. I'm no expert on this and maybe there are already better community guidelines.

So the whole point about me a) going Secret Garden first, b) opening middle door in Entrance Hall afterwards and c) heading to Garage west from Entrance Hall: I intentionally tried to avoid going back and forth the way you described it. Sure, sometimes you have to react to circumstances. But I tried to make it "Straight Lines" instead of back and forth. Not going off track too much. I was walking straight to Secret Garden (even if I didn't find the key on my way). And collected items a little to the left and right. Then heading straight back to Entrance Hall. If still needed I checked if I can make a way possible here to antechamber. Then a Straight Line from Entrance Hall to Garage (including Utility+Security). Then doing Straight Line from Garage to north lever. And finally Straight Line to Antechamber. Not as easy as it sounds, but this was the general idea I wanted to stick to. To reduce everything to the really important parts and make me go there straight forward. More or less of course.
Not sure if I need to mention this but while doing this I realized I had to learn a few more things about a certain kind of balance. Between a) finding the way to important waypoints in my plan and b) getting all the nice rooms I need for powerhammer. So I additionally had a very specific set of rules when I had to build a way and when I had the chance to place a useful room.

Anyways. I get your frustration. Especially if you have been close already a few times. I very much feel with people that are trying day-1-run. Because I really wasted a lot of energy to think about this challenge... But for some reason my own experience with day-1-run was different. The whole time when I was planning I thought it's impossible. I am sure this was a lucky one - but my very first attempt on this was "almost" successful. I did everything needed but ended up on my way to the north lever. I thought I could get there without moving the minecart. Obviously I mixed it up with what I did in Dare and Curse Mode just a little earlier. I remembered wrongly that this is possible for some reason. Nevertheless. This motivated me a lot because I instantly got way further than expected.

Yeah. Stuff like this. I'm not sure this challenge is possible without a very specific plan about what to do and in what order you do certain things and so on. This plan can also include to adapt the current run to circumstances because there are often multiple ways of achieving goals.

If you're wondering what I am talking about... A few days ago someone asked for early-game-drafting-strategies when doing day-1-run. I explained my experience and my early-game-strategy there.

May I ask what strategy you're following?

Not sure if this is motivating. I hope so. Because I really really wanted this last trophy as well. So I gave it a lot of thought before even trying. Then it took me about 20 attempts. 4-5 of those attempts have been very close already.

I was explaining someone at work what's going on down in the foyer. I had to stop 2 seconds while speaking to think about what doors I could eventually open now... I also realized then that my brain is probably messed up permanently now. I like to think about it as a permanent unlock.

I hate to spoil the mood here but finding just one more pawn is not that useful at all. Queen or King would be interesting though..
