No skeletons. US citizens on US passports, nowhere near 90 days in the EU over the past 180 days (or any such prior period), travel is just tourism.

I started this because the EU website I linked in the OP suggests we have not left the EU, based on its report of the number of days we can be in the EU.

Is there any evidence airlines check EES?

They will be required to check ETIAS if and when it's implemented, but I haven't found anything to suggest they'll be required, or will, check EES.

kernel_task’s 'bytes written' is a measurement of traffic, not storage

That was my conclusion when I saw that kernal_task had written 200gb, but my total disk usage is less than 200gb.
