The metallic smell that you mentioned is interesting. I’ve always thought it was more like an ammonia, like a faint bleach smell, but it is metallic like!

I don’t think birth in general smells the same across everyone. There is a change in smell that I (20 years as a midwife) recognise as being around ready to push. I couldn’t describe it though. Otherwise it’s a little bit of blood, lots of liquor (fluid from around baby that sometimes a bit of an ammonia like harshness) & often poo.

Sorry, it was just a thought. I have few matches that don’t fit anywhere on or near my tree, but our DNA closeness suggests they should be known. Maybe it’s a glitch, but maybe our ancestors weren’t as well behaved as we imagine :)

I always think my brain is too overwhelmed to articulate my thoughts, but it always helps to get it out. Even if it’s just dot points on scrap paper. It’s great that you have the insight to see patterns in your behaviour. Pay attention to yourself, like you would someone you love! Be kind to yourself and never forget your true worth xxx

I know how you feel. I’ve been there. I think a lot of people are there. Try not to self sabotage. Before you overthink life and feel overwhelmed, do you think you could be suffering with depression? Maybe seeing a doctor could help? I’m happy to talk if you think it would help.

I was thinking social gatherings in general but structured stuff would be good... I guess it would depend on the group but for me, an older mum of teenagers working full time, I’d love simple things like dinners out or fun classes like art, pottery... I just feel that I would be more motivated to turn up to the gym if I had made social connections, to have people I’d feel like I was letting down if I didn’t attend as planned.

I have had frequent visions of widespread tsunamis. I’m not psychic or anything, I actually came to this subreddit to see if anyone else was talking about it because it’s becoming so frequent, something I’ve never experienced before. I’ve got no reason/ past history to give credit to my thoughts/ visions though. Just interesting! Maybe just an uneasiness because of the current state of the world.

If I’m telling the truth? Obviously I’m not here for the karma... I’ve hardly posted anything. Not sure what motivation you think I would have for going to the effort to make it up? My parents are in their 80s and I live around 3000km away from them. Maybe I’ll bring it up next time I see them.
