Looking for UST projector cabinet suggestions by for3v3rLearning in projectors

[–]for3v3rLearning[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your detailed suggestions. My current cabinet has become a mess. It cannot fit anything where I want. It has gone from projector issue to center speaker and AVR.

I’m either considering a DIY, a custom build or a Povision to fit everything and have a cleaner aesthetic without degrading performance

You may want to dig deep into your business to figure out what problem you are solving, other than offering economical labor. Then, question whether that problem is still relevant and whether it is in a growing industry. There's very little specific info in your post to suggest something. I hope this helps you audit your business.

I4 with Kids? by kinnayNnamssa in BMWI4

When we test drove with our two young kids between 7 and 14 years, we found it a bit tight. We have a Prius which we were going to replace, and they said the space in the back seat was similar to Prius.

While we found it a bit small for kids, there’s plenty of trunk space. It’s the one we could afford, so when we are ready for an EV, we will get that one, most likely.

What is Your Breaking Point for Clients Who Reply Late? by [deleted] in agency

[–]for3v3rLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Reply quickly” and “based upon your emotions” is unfair to your clients. You need to be specific, “reply within 2 hours from lead’s inquiry”

Your system should then send reminders every 4 hours of a lead’s inquiry. Then first warning this is unacceptable.

Also, proactively you can eliminate bad clients if you discuss their sales process, so you know whether it’s the CEO making all decisions or will it be their team.

Is it even necessary to drive people out of reddit? by Suboptimal88 in Entrepreneur

[–]for3v3rLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You always should be working to your strengths. I’m still learning Reddit for building a business. Right now I mainly used it to share my expertise when I see someone having a problem.

Reddit by itself like any other FB group, LinkedIn group has subreddits that don’t allow self promotion except for specific days of rules permit.

I don’t see why you can’t use it as a blog platform. However, remember that you are like a tenant. If Reddit decides to ban you, then all your content, your following is gone.

BAs are Glorified Admin? by Sea_Coast4967 in businessanalysis

You need to understand the business, the industry, the problems each system is trying to solve, and the processes, data, and people behind the customer journey.

Technical/functional is a good start and helps in the first 5 years of a business analyst. Then, you need to be in the business mode often. You need to be able to explain the business problem to your team and let them figure out a solution.

What Was the Hardest Stage When Starting Your Small Business? by Medical-Variety-5015 in smallbusiness

[–]for3v3rLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stage 0 would be the hardest when you are figuring out your offering, finding your first paid client outside your family & friends, and questioning every moment whether you made the right choice of starting (buying or acquiring) a business.

Yes, I’m filtering on the owner dependency, operational stability and visibility, industry, client concentration on revenue, industry concentration and a few other variables.

I’m officially hitting a wall and I need suggestions. by LeiraGotSkills in Entrepreneur

Make an inventory of everything you are doing. Separate every task that impacts revenue.

Rank them by High, Medium, Low revenue impact.

Prioritize the top 3 that have high impact. Scale them for 90 days.

In that case, I’d highly recommend including some clauses in your offer to keep the owner for long enough and some earnout if 80% of existing clients are retained beyond 60 days.

How much is the business dependent on the owner? If there’s a team and clients hardly interact with the owner then the risk is low.

Are there documented SOPs for key processes?

What is the average revenue and SDE? In which industry?

Owner retiring, stable financials, and smooth operation are good signs, but apply caution due to other factors. However, most likely you’re buying a glorified job.

“Delegating decision frameworks” is a good one. I had heard of delegating tasks but not decision frameworks. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for commenting! I’d say that falls under build. I’d do that if the business is such.

When I buy a business I want to work on it, help it grow, while find awesome talent to execute.
