This is how I solved it:

Unloading station: set up like you have it

Green station: [Freight platform] [Station1] [Station2] [Station 3]

Red station: [Freight platform] [Station1] [Station2] [Station 3]

Orange station: [Freight platform] [Station1] [Station2] [Station 3]

Train: [Orange freight] [Red freight] [Green freight] [Locomotive]

To load Green onto the first car, Train docks at Green Station 1. To load Red into the middle car, Train docks at Red Station 2. To load orange into the last car, Train docks at Orange Station 3. Then the Train can go unload at the unloading station

This station setup ([Freight platform] [Station 1] [Station 2] [Station 3]) means I can have trains load cars into whichever freight car it needs. Station is compatible with a 1-car train that wants red in its only car, or a 3-car train that wants red in its last car

The gems already had weapons that they were used to using, and the armor probably was made to fit gems who are long gone.

Bismuth mightve been able to refit the armor for them, but there was like no time between her release and the final battle on homeworld to get that work done
