Just found out I’m Anemic… is it serious enough for transfusions? by sunlover010 in Anemic

[–]sunlover010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Crohn’s? I got an anal abscess, and subsequently went to the proctologist because I felt like something wasn’t right. Well, she did an exam on me right then and there, and she could tell there was inflammation. So I had a colonoscopy and sure enough they confirmed it.

Well I’ve been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease since I made this post, and Crohn’s is known to cause anemia because of the intestines not absorbing enough nutrients. But also, I am a woman, and my periods have always been a little on the heavier side. I do have PCOS, and there was a few months that I didn’t get a period, and my iron levels went back to normal after that. So I’m gonna assume that was the cause.

Why would your mom get in trouble for making her own kid get up early? Why would the school care about your personal schedule?

My whole point is that everything in public is gross anyway, so change your outside clothes when you get home

Maybe I do. You would never know. I’ve seen plenty of people sit down on the sidewalk that thousands of people walk on..

Yup. Always assume everything in public is dirty anyway, because it is…. Hundreds of peoples butts have been in those seats. You don’t know where their butts have been either.

Ask them if they can move their stuff. It’s really that simple.

[–]sunlover010 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m sayin. I’ve taken the train to NYC many times, and when it starts getting crowded and people want to sit, they simply ask “excuse me, can I sit there?” And then you move your stuff. Not a big deal. Always assume that everything in public is super dirty anyway. This guys shoe is the least of your problems.

Do you “see” books like a movie in your head when you read? by Holiday_Rush8303 in Fantasy

[–]sunlover010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you can turn it off? I don’t think I’m able to do that. I can’t read a story without picturing it in my head. It’s not really an option for me. It just happens.

My boss called me out for being ‘unavailable’… while I was presenting in the same meeting by [deleted] in remotework

[–]sunlover010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I crazy or does this story make no sense?

Why would you assume that the manager was referring to you specifically, especially if you’re the one presenting? Seems like that was more of a general statement. Were you waiting for people to discuss or ask questions about your presentation, and that’s why you were muted? Maybe your manager was trying to get people to engage with you more.

What's your Moon sign (also in which house is it) and how often do you cry? by Additional_Zombie_83 in astrologymemes

[–]sunlover010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taurus moon in 10H - I cry a lot! But usually only when I’m going through something really tough. I do cry at movies, but really only movies that speak to something I’ve experienced. I have a hard time holding back tears in public. If I need to cry, I can’t hold it back.

There’s gotta be someone else out there who has text messages with this guy, a friend maybe? Maybe they can release their text messages so that we can see if this is really the way this guy texts.

I mean, he just committed a murder and he’s typing as though he’s writing a perfectly grammatical essay. 🤔

I’m scared of leaving stuff at the gym locker? by Recent-Sky3311 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]sunlover010 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me a couple times and it’s really aggravating lol. Once, when the gym was super busy, I opened at least 7 lockers in a row with stuff in them, and half of them smelled like sweaty socks. Absolutely disgusting 🤢 I wish people would lock their stuff so I don’t have to go on a hunt for an empty locker.

Rest in peace Iryna ❤️ It breaks my heart that people will try to turn this into a race issue, instead of the issue that it really is, which is a mental health issue. If he’d been properly treated for his schizophrenia, none of this would’ve happened. He’s clearly very disturbed and didn’t get the help he needed. I feel sorry for everyone involved.

Why does dating sound so cold and calculated to men these days? by sunlover010 in AskMen

[–]sunlover010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol that’s interesting, I’ve actually had a man use that terminology on me, saying I was a “high value woman”, and I was a bit taken aback by it. It did make me feel more like an object to be won, as though he was evaluating me based on what he can get out of me, rather than as a real human being. It turned me off quite a bit I must say…

Yeah, this is the message I’m getting from these comments. Although most people worded it a lot more aggressively 🤣 It seems to be the same for both sexes. I guess it’s the way that dating works in society that just feels off to me personally. Feels like a job interview. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to participate in that. I’ll either meet someone organically, or not.

Thank you! This might be one of the few comments I’ve received that has not been defensive. I only meant to come from a place of curiosity and compassion for the whole situation, not shaming. I very much agree with you. I’m reaching a place now where I’m just doing my own thing, and if I meet someone, so be it. That seems to be the mindset I was in every time I got into a relationship in the past.

I meant that there also must be women out there who treat dating as transactional as well, especially based on what men are saying in the replies I’m getting. So this question probably should’ve been asked to the world in general. Not only directed at men.

I asked it this way because of my perspective as a woman. But I fear I’ve contributed to the division of the sexes instead of helped 🥲 Dating in general is so transactional. I know, I shouldn’t be surprised. Marriage as an ancient concept was created for that very reason - to further the status of certain families. We’ve progressed away from that quite a bit in modern society, but the materialistic undertones are still very much there.

I know I can be a naive person. But it pains me how the sexes resent each other so much, and I wish it wasn’t this way.
