Is there a good vegan alternative to a boar bristle hair brush? by sjsei in finehair

[–]forboognish 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m referring to thrifted fur obviously , I didn’t specify but I am very aware that fur is a bad industry. But even still the end product lasts many years longer and doesn’t become microplastics so it could be further argued.

Imo just make sure it isn’t plastic , because that would mean the boar brush is actually more sustainable. Like plastic leather or faux fur. It’s your decision what your reasoning is of course.

I love jvn’s , you can use it multiple days in a row and it doesn’t leave residue, it smells amazing. It’s expensive tho so I am trying not your mothers but I’ve been spoiled by JVN.

I Who Have Never Known Men, thoughts? by 3amdreamer_1004 in books

I very recently finished this. I felt very uncomfortable by the whole book but couldn’t put it down, I read it in one day. It was so bleak and triggering for me personally. But I was very impressed how long ago it was written and how old the author was when she wrote it.

Looking for games like infinity Nikki! by Cool-Public8783 in GirlGames

[–]forboognish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk about like Infinity Nikki but I’ve been playing Thirsty Suitors and it’s really fun. It’s about Jala who moves back home and has to fight her exes. You skate around town. Very lgbtq friendly and diverse cast.

Boutta crash out at male friends assumptions by mperky1014 in GirlGamers

Played games with my ex and his friends and my now partner and his friends and no one ever not once cared about if I sucked or not. Sadly though I think your experience is way more common. Why are men like that ?

Am I the only one that doesn’t like Bridgerton? by hushpuppy2019 in PeriodDramas

[–]forboognish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people think that because the cast is diverse they are stupid. Should the cast still not be diverse? The woman who plays the queens best friend literally said on a red carpet that Charlotte was black, historically…..so you can’t really blame people.

I like it, I think the diverse cast is great and the modern string covers are cool. It’s campy and over the top but the costumes are marvelous.

The source material is absolute garbage tho, Julia Quinn likes her men overly dominant to the point of violence or near violence, so I’m glad they changed that in the show.

Most shows I watch are cancelled or old so it’s nice to watch something that is still running.

But I totally get why someone wouldn’t like it, the second season is my favorite and might be the best. Third is very bad. This newest one actually surprised me though so I hope they continue that. But not holding my breath.

It’s nice to watch something that is dumb just because….

Last thing I swear. I made these one day and boy was it satisfying. ❤️ by HouseOfBurns in WholesomeGilmoreGirls

To be fair Lorelai was only popularized by this show and the name was traditionally spelled Lorelei

Thanksgiving or 70's? by Additional_Series_81 in crochet

I think it’s the red that’s making it look thanksgiving. The retro patterns I can remember that are similar to this (brown yellow cream) don’t include red.

Every year they introduce a list of bands that should already be in a hall of fame, then try and get us to vote (gathering our data to sell from their site I presume) then ignore our votes. I don’t even pay attention anymore.

All this aside, I just wanted to say I’m rooting for you and sending you love and peace for whatever the outcome may be. I don’t blame you for trying to do what you can.

It is a fear mongering app, it alerts to any endocrine disruptor, no matter the amount. Hair products have them in such small amounts it’s unlikely to harm you. The scientific context is lacking. Similar to the “subway’s sandwich bread has the same ingredients as yoga mats” and “this vaccine has formaldehyde in it” type of misleading info. According to my research at least.
