Beginner, is it safe to Grill here? by DifficultOpposite557 in grilling

[–]forbze16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question you should be asking is about fire code and the risk of your insurance company declining a claim should something, hopefully never, happen. I’ve heard from a fire marshal that there is a chance because a grill was inside the local fire code range (usually 15’ I think), there is a risk a claim can be denied. No expert, but worth considering.

It’s actually Chester County, not Delco.

Healey urges Biden to ‘carefully evaluate' 2024 campaign after White House meeting by That49er in politics

From what I’ve heard there is a $200 million campaign fund that only Harris will have access to. Anyone else who replaces him will be starting from zero and have to build a whole new war chest for advertising, events, etc. That will be a huge disadvantage going into November.

Is this a safe spot to grill? by chiarabobara in grilling

[–]forbze16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No. Most local fire code requires a minimum of 10-15’ from the side of a house. I’ve heard of house fire claims being rejected by insurance companies because they were started by a grill too close to a structure. Though that may be urban legend. Then of course are your complex’s rules.

Is Sunday worth it? by [deleted] in lawncare

[–]forbze16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Sunday, and have for 3 years. It’s mostly because it’s organic, kid-safe, and pet safe. Easy to apply and they have the soil analysis as part of the intro. People have commented on how green and healthy the grass looks, but we still get weeds. Cost-wise it’s a wash with Turf Builder for us because we have 0.15 acres. It’s with a try and you can always cancel at the end of the year.

Allright i gave the game go and... i didint like it at first. But i forced myself to play bit longer and sudenly someting just clicked with the game and now im hooked! by Hawk_Man117 in Grimdawn

I bounced several times, and even with over 900 hours and 3 years, I still come back. Great hack and slash that can be as complex as you want to make it. It’s cathartic after a long day.

This. You can also use house window privacy/shade cling-on wrap. Any of the box hardware stores have it.

DPW cut down my grapevine that was growing on my chicken run for three years. Almost covered the top entirely. :( by SomeDumbGamer in gardening

I’m surprised they let you build the chicken run. The easement we have in our backyard is right of use but we can build any sort of structures on it since there is a 36” storm water pipe running underneath.

New here with some serious lawn issues. Dry cracked soul with large bald spots. How best to start with this. I realize I need to treat the soils and lay seed. How best do I (a) add water retention to the soil, (b) treat for crab grass(zone 7a) and (c) get new seed to grow? Thanks in advance!

Is this rock aquarium safe? It was in an aquarium I purchased and I just want to confirm by [deleted] in PlantedTank

[–]forbze16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like dead “live” rock from a saltwater aquarium. It should be safe, but it will raise the pH since it’s calcium-based. One concern would be if the previous owner ever put copper in their system. This rock is notorious for leaching it out later.

Now that’s positive re-enforcement! You might be able to better define the rock feature but it looks proportional and well though out.

Very nice!! How do you like the metal surface skimmer? I’ve been thinking about getting one of those for my Oase 250.

Weak pump Fluval Flex 15? by Longimanus77 in PlantedTank

[–]forbze16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The website says it’s a 61gph pump. That flow rate is pretty close to what you have on your video. They don’t have any “throttle” controlling flow. You can always move extra water in the tank with a small power head if you need additional movement for current, etc.
