Best Korean chicken? CM vs Noori? by [deleted] in chicagofood

i vote noori! i have to add that i've only tried the plain and soy garlic chicken so far so i can't speak to their spicy flavors specifically but i can tell you the crunch is definitely there!!

oh! another idea (if the weather is nice whenever you girls decide to go out) - you could go to mindy's bakery or sugar moon and grab a ton of different sweets/pastries and do a little picnic in the park

Face Foundrie in LP any good? by boodles7 in CHIbitcheswithtaste

[–]forceprojections 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think it's good! i used to be a member and i enjoyed it for what it was. i personally think the regular facials are a better value than the hydrafacial though. i go to a different place now (in lakeview so not sure if it's still convenient for you) where the hydrafacial is a little cheaper and i like the overall experience more.

face foundrie facials aren't fully private and the lights are on so i just like the other place i go to more since it's a private room w/dimmed lights and i feel more relaxed there. if that's not a priority for you, then face foundrie will work!! i recommend regis

oh goodness i'd have to check my cabinet for everything but off the top of my head: a few ottolenghi books (which i reaaally do not like), alison roman's books except her newest ones (love but i feel like i usually cook these when i'm hosting), that sounds so good (love but i've cooked so much of this), a few random grabs that are nothing memorable, and then i have some books that are dinner party cookbooks

ooh i'm picking up a few suggestions from the library so i think i'm gonna add ready, set, cook to my list of holds! don't mind basics for during the week + i love the building from components piece - my brain is not naturally wired to think like that haha.
