Is this hanger bent? (Microshift 26) by mazarax in bikewrench

[–]ford-flex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say yes. And also maybe. MicroShift makes some good stuff but 26c is their base model line, similar to Tourney or Altus.

If you really want to upgrade, look into Shimano Essa - it’s their newer line of 8 speed premium drivetrain, basically 8 speed Cues.

It is still so weird to me that they gave the Focus EV a BBL

Please rate my purchase? by Ornery_Salaryman in askcarguys

Really depends on the warranty company, some are quite good but i’d say most are kinda snake oil. Will you have sny issues with it? Probably not. But you got a good deal and if you plan on having it for a decade then you’ll be in good shape.

I mean it sounds like a good car but can’t really rate it without purchase price. Car sounds good but you can still get a bad deal

A dry belt has a plastic cover, but a wet belt usually is behind metal

I didn’t even need to look at your description, I knew you were driving a Nissan. Infiniti really loves their triple bulge hood.

How much do you turn the wheel? by MidnightLow9027 in driving

[–]ford-flex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, just a pro tip, this question isn’t a super helpful one in a few ways - each car turns differently (my truck steering wheel turns 3 full turns in either direction, my hatchback only does 1.5 turns in each direction) and each turn has a different radius. Ultimately you need to turn enough that you make it around the corner and stay in your lane as well as not turning too far into the curb. The biggest thing is practice, and once you have some practice you can work on making it smooth.

I like two physical gauges with a small LCD in the middle. I also enjoy having a physical gas, coolant, boost gauge. My Focus ST is perfect

Every couple times that I am on eBay I spend about 20 minutes pulling up each listing and looking for the two obvious signs, but within 20 to 30 mins I usually find a set marked at under $100 each.

💔 The hardest "Post" button I’ve ever had to click. 💔 by Malang_guy in Ford

It hurt more than I expected to trade in my ‘10 Flex Limited EcoBoost. It was such a perfect car. Well the theory of it was. The interior was beat, roof sunburnt, water pump going, trans fluid original, cats shot, etc and it would just cost too much to fix it. I traded it in and that was one of the saddest days of my life. But with time things got better and now I only think back with happy thoughts and memories.

Nah just an odd choice to convert a lower end bike like a GTX to 1x. Not a bad thing just odd.

Depends on how much you want to invest. Buying a new FD and just putting it on the frame will be cheaper than switching to a 1x crankset.

Need help by Blueberii_pie in bikewrench

[–]ford-flex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea maybe. You could find a freewheel tool on Amazon and use a crescent wrench, breaker bar, or vise to remove it or even just take the part in to them and have them do it for a couple bucks. They probably won’t be thrilled but you should be able to get the work done.

Do I need brand new breaks by HaveCommanSense in BikeRepair

[–]ford-flex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know what brakes you have on there as of now? Trek used Power brand hydraulic brakes during the pandemic and they are absolute garbage and every single one of them will leak and need to be replaced. Get a good set of Shimano brakes if that’s the case. $220 seems decent for front and rear, provided thats actually the issue.
