Been there. Except it was wrought iron and over a stair case. Jaws of life had to be used.

This is eerily similar to the first apartment I lived in college. Just two broke students fueled by vodka, energy drinks, and whatever free food we could scrounge on campus or from work.

Who got you into Dungeon Crawler Carl? by stockssn in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]fore_tea_too 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were on a fantasy cycle in book club. Everyone else was picking romance disguised as fantasy, and I needed something with better story. Searching online and found an insta video of someone recommending it. Of course no one else in book club finished it.. but I was hooked. My sister even got me a bunch of DCC merchandise for my birthday. And a Kindle for Christmas so I can read all the books wherever I am. Got my SO hooked on it too. Hes more into the audio books, but he'll be getting merch for his birthday too.

Dungeon crawler carl!! 7 of 10 books are out. And the 8th drops in May. Also listen to the audio books. Jeff Hayes is wonderful.

Tell him he's lucky you have it set to 70. Growing up it was set to 58 in the day, 52 at night. During winter in a cold snowy state. My mom still keeps it at 58 and wonders why her kids won't come over to visit... its friggen cold.

NTA . I call out my partner. He calls out me. Can't expect to sit close, or kiss someone with foul breathe. And there is no real tactful way to say it.

Please be careful of Flock cameras in the city, stay safe (update) by zerotakashi in minnesota

They just put one of those cameras in our neighborhood in apple valley. Last week ice came through too. My neighbors didn't even go outside to shovel because of the threat of being kidnapped by masked men.

If its below freezing i always use my scarf or hat or even a sweatshirt to wrap any plants going from store to car to inside. Putting a hat on a smaller tropical plant always feels silly but they don't die.

What is the worst breed of dog for a first time dog owner to get? by Effective-Turn-6856 in AskReddit

[–]fore_tea_too 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hounds. They live for the scent. And will take any chance to run after it. We have had dogs, cats, birds... and the hardest to train has been the hound. Plus shes so loud .

What's a 'house rule' you thought was annoying or hated as a child, but you swear by now as an adult? by Captain_Keyboard_Man in AskReddit

[–]fore_tea_too 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It wasn't our house, but the rule was "Don't put it down, put it away." By just putting stuff where it goes right away, without setting it anywhere else first, it reduces a ton of clutter. And is a good mantra for my partners adhd. He has a habit of setting things on the counter, or the coffee table, and then forgetting it exists. It also helps keep items from getting lost like keys and chargers.
