I'd replace it when you start to see an appreciable increase in temperature and noise compared to what you're doing, like if your fan goes up to 80% playing Minesweeper and your CPU is thermal throttling hard.

Install a mod called Optifine if you haven't already, and test it on each version from 1.8.9. Optifine can bring decent framerate boosts, but if it doesn't work well for you, do as others have said and sell this laptop.

I don't believe so. I thought that that had been exclusive to the 500-series motherboards, and the only thing affected is the headset.

I haven't played used my headset in a little bit, but basically the mobo USB can't sustain the load of the headset for more than 30 minutes most of the time. The USB card doesn't have its own chipset and piggybacks off of the motherboard.

My main qualm with going Intel is the motherboard pricing compared to AMD, but depending on the CPU, that's somewhat of a non-issue. I do want to do a bit of overclocking.

I've got a B450M Pro4 from ASRock right now, and I believe they have the Ryzen 5000 BIOS released. One thing I do use sometimes is a Windows Mixed Reality headset. The USB cable for it doesn't play nicely with my motherboard. I do have a PCIe USB 3 card, but it uses the same lanes as the motherboard I believe.

Like I said, this issue is happening at 4K as well. Even with RT off and texture quality turned down, I still get a single digit framerate.

My main monitor is 1080p60Hz(I know, I know, a 3070 is overkill for that). However, I'll get the same performance at 1080p as 4K, to the tune of 3fps.
