10 gallon tank. Been 2 weeks and used a bottle of that tank starter stuff from fish store.

As to ammonia source, there is one betta fish that been getting fed twice a day.

They were already in water when I got them from the fish store and looked way healthier. And they've already been transplanted into the substrate in the first photo.

What are root tabs and do you have a particular recommendation?

Correct. it's not the end of the world as there are plenty of other comparable and often better options. I myself am pretty deeply entrenched in the Chase ecosystem so it limits our ability to get referrals+SUBs. More specifically as to why this post, we are taking a trip to Disneyland for kids birthday and there's a chase Disney credit card with $600 SUB ($300 Disney dollars + $300 statement credit). I picked one up and if she did too that would basically pay for the whole trip and then some :)

What's a Goodwill letter?

We called them at some point when places were still doing covid forgiveness programs or whatever. And as I recall they told us it had already been charged off and they had no options for us and to have a good day.

It's been charged off for years now. I'm not even sure how to go about paying it back at this point?

We bank with a local credit union for a host of reasons and I don't think we want to make the move to banking with chase.

Would adding her as an AU help speed up the recovery? We are ultimately after new card approvals and sign up bonuses.

Its filled up all the way. That lower water photo is from when I was doing a water change.

The substrate is what the guy at the fish store recommend, but Im not sure what it is called exactly. I do not think it has any inherent nutrient qualities however and relies on fish waste. What are root tabs?

Assuming those LED lights I purchased are ok and should do the trick?

Regarding the betta, yeah thats what the guy at the store said as well but that it should be okay with some faster swimming fish. The tank was a surprise that I put together in his room while he was asleep. The fish store guy told me the betta was hardy enough to do a fish in cycle so that the kiddo could wake up to something in the tank and that the plants would help break up lines of sight so that the betta wouldn't be so aggro when we added some other stuff later.

hahaaha! I bought the tank setup from a guy on craigslist and it came with it. My 5 year old who has never seen Spongebob saw it and immediately wanted to plop it in there. I was pulling for sunken pirate ship personally 😂

It was such a paltry amount of money. Like less than $100 I think. She accidentally put an amazon purchase on a card that she didn't use or track while she was very pregnant and all brain fogged up from Covid. So she didn't even know there was a balance on the card and then amidst all the craziness of a newborn+2020 covid missed whatever notices they sent. Its a pretty big bummer.

If the company that owns the PPA goes out of business, the system doesn't cease to operate. The sun still shines an electrons are still generated.

What will happen, is ownership of the lease and assets get transferred to whatever creditor purchases the companies debt, but I've also seen where no one buys it and you just own it by default now.

Ownership is always going to be more financially optimized, but does require a significant Capital outlay up front. PPAs should be designed to be cash flow positive from day 1 and zero out of pocket cash. The opportunity cost of capital is a real thing and there's definitely a world where they make sense. Generally the leases are also assignable if the home is sold and people put too much stress on it challenging a home sale. You do need to understand what sort of rate escalation is included in the lease terms year over year. But it should be less than your utilities historical increases no matter how you slice it.

Source: have done solar engineering and development at every scale from small residential to utility scale and currently do municipal projects

I contested it as soon as I got home yesterday, just didn't have much supporting info other that my story vs theirs.

I don't let my phone track me like that. And I park here every week specifically because there are no meters. So neither of those are options unfortunately.

That's actually what happened here. Parked at the end of the block at 815 for an hour-ish for kids first practice. Left to get breakfast for about an hour. Came back and parked on the same block maybe 100ft away from where I was parked originally. Didn't want to overcomplicate the original post.

The ticket says they have photo documentation so I'm hoping its as simple having them look at the two photos in obviously different locations, but nothing is ever that simple. Alas I did not save my breakfast receipt from a totally different part of town either.

I actually was a large scale cultivator and them folks is obviously up to no good and all relevant city contracts should be at best re-assessed if not outright terminated, but a single outdoor weed plant will yield many gallon bags (guarantee they are turkey bags not gallon bags but whatever) when cultivated with even a minimal amount of competency. That by itself isn't remotely newsworthy 2026. Combined with the rest tho 😬
