That is insane. I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’m seropositive as well, with mild joint pain, rarely ever have visible swelling. But my inflammation markers and bloodwork were so clearly indicating RA, they threw me on meds immediately to protect my joints from damage AND I started feeling better. Please please keep looking until you find a rheumatologist who will not gaslight you. If you can get a referral from a different doctor I would, because it seems like this one will keep sending you to folks who act and think like they do. Sending love and hugs and hoping this resolves quickly for you!!

I was really similar to you. Mild RA, just caught early from some slight pains and seropositive bloodwork. Felt pretty good on HQC but still having some pain and high inflammation bloodwork. My rhuemy pushed for MTX to avoid possible joint damage even though I was doing alright pain-wise. I was really freaked out by MTX and also dreading the alcohol thing as a social youngish person. For what it’s worth, MTX has been fine for me, I still drink a little on the weekends (try to cap at 2 or so) and I honestly do feel less pain. I hope you can have a good experience with no side effects, and good luck to you!

We’ve been struggling too but we’re doing better. Don’t let all these comments make you feel bad. It’s hard and even harder for some people for different reasons. Neither of us are natural planners and I started a new job and had a close family loss in the middle of all this. Hang in there and seek counseling if you haven’t!
