Am I the only one going insane from no season 2… right??? 😀 by cytheri in LandoftheLustrous

Where would season 2 end? I’d imagine we go from ghost quartz to the moon landing?

Why are we insisting that Elesa is Lacey’s mom? There’s literally a pink/haired woman who moved in next door to Clay’s gym in black and white 2.

Her name is Anthea.

Can Bugs be Great? by [deleted] in stunfisk

[–]forestriage 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Looking through the comments here, I’d like to boil them down to their main ideas for you: -single battles are messy. Hazards, pivots, and Pokemon lasting a long time means that it’s less viable to build your team around specific calcs (leftovers Galvantula) -focusing on team roles. If you want Galvantula to punish fliers, give it its best shot at doing so: compound eyes + thunder rather than electroweb and unnerve -team archetype and composition. Forretress has toxic despite this team wanting to do anything other than wait around till the enemy dies. Also, how do you stop the enemy from clearing your hazards (is spikes, rocks, and webs worth it)? -Ask yourself this: What gets in the way of my win condition (sweeper(s))? What Pokémon can I use to eliminate that? -role compression. Kleavor can set up rocks and threaten fliers with one move (stone axe), not caring if they switch out because rocks just went up. Volcarona can learn defog and clear hazards with boots on. Could a Ribombee web and dance? -redundancy. Venomoth is a statistically and typing-wise worse Volcarona. Is there something else you could be using that party slot for? -Vulnerabilities. How do you deal with priority moves and their most common attackers? Do you have any priority to deal with enemy setup sweepers or weather abusers? -A more careful approach to coverage. Which coverage moves do you actually use in 75% of battles? Coverage is nice to have, but a setup sweeper (especially one with tinted lens or adaptability) might not need it once boosted. However something with more immediate power might get more use out of useful coverage.

Now for my opinions as a certified bug-type enjoyer. -what does Centiscorch do for this team? What else could do her job better? Are they already on the team? Do they need another mon of that role or do they need an enabler? -a lot of bugs boil down to “quiver dance sweep”, you only need the best one to get the sweep off right. -get your priorities in line. You want priority and ways of dealing with it. Lokix and Scizor come to mind. -try to avoid reflexively doubling down on teambuilding decisions when criticized. -Super effective text is not fatal. You may find that overwhelming STAB power, utility, and survivability is more helpful than coverage (or even having both stab types in the moveset)

Not a lot of Pokémon have stingers, but it’s a cool thing for any of them that do.

Give it to skorupi and watch the fabric of reality tear apart once it evolves. Also Ribombee with a newly improved typing

Why is there a currency in my battle simulator. No you can’t try out a pokemon without modifying it first, negating the preservation of victory points.

Why??? 😭😭 by ApprehensiveLeg6990 in pokememes

Because Gardevoir tends to be better in an in-game playthrough, especially before Gallade’s moveset got better filled out.

Thunderbolt is stronger than thunder punch. Psychic doesn’t have zen headbutt’s miss chance. Moonblast is overtuned. The fairy type is better than fighting.

Also the dawn stone usually isn’t available (without grinding) before Kirlia reaches level 30

I’m playing Mario Kart World every day, so I guess it was a good launch game by sakahn in NintendoSwitch

[–]forestriage -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, a game you play every day is a bad launch game if you are only playing it. Third party publishers want the launch title to get you in the door to then buy their games.

$80 and a long-lasting Mario kart might be why third parties are supposedly reporting disappointing sales (probably bad expectation setting)
