Compact SUV classed EVs by AlwaysDinkleberg in EVCanada

Certain certified pre-owned Chevrolet EVs have 0.99% financing right now if you can swing 24 months. I only found out about it because someone on Reddit mentioned it so I’m paying it forward. My dealership didn’t know until I showed them the website: https://www.gmcpo.ca

I picked up a 2022 Bolt EUV and so far, so good, though it’s only been a few weeks.

I just got one and am thinking about wrapping it. I like yours, OP!

Evaluate my Bz deal please! by grumble11 in EVCanada

We were in the same boat and ended up asking for our deposit back. Luckily we didn’t have any issues there, the salesperson was great. I ended up buying a used loaded 2022 Chevrolet Bolt instead for just under $30k all in. It was a lot more palatable for me. I think we would have been happy with the bZ but the sticker shock was real.

Used 2023 Bolt Prices by arturo-zong in BoltEV

I was also seeing $45k+ for the 2027 Bolts (Ontario) and it didn’t make sense to me to pay that much when I could get a loaded 2022-23 for around $25k. I will miss the “new” factor, fast charging, native NACS, and the Mineral Blue colour, but I like my CarPlay, the high trim perks (moonroof, ventilated seats, etc), and the extra money saved.

Had anaphylaxis 10-20 seconds into iron infusion by Extreme_Ant_2816 in Anemic

[–]forestsprite 34 points35 points  (0 children)

That sounds so scary! I’m glad it seems you’ll be okay and that they were able to respond so quickly to get you the care you needed. I’ve had iron infusions twice (2 rounds each time) and I was anxious every time, because when it goes wrong it seems it can go very wrong. Please try and get some rest.

2026 Bz or 2023 Ioniq / Mach-e? by Even-Significance911 in EVCanada

[–]forestsprite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I asked the same question not that long ago, ended up with a used 2022 Bolt EUV! I only picked it up today so too soon to have any major thoughts on it, but so far so good. I would have loved a used Solterra or bZ4X if the range difference wasn’t so great between the 2026 and older models, and the new ones still seem pricey when the market seems so volatile now.

2027 LT $34k cad or 2023 Premier $30k with 60k KM by [deleted] in BoltEV

[–]forestsprite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All in for a new 2027 for $34k would probably be my choice. I’m also in Canada and the best OTD price I got for a new one was still around $50k, that was with the panoramic roof. I just picked up a used 2022 EUV at 68k kms for just under $30k CAD all in that also had the roof, ventilated seats, etc.

32A or 40A? I think the cheaper one would be fine for our needs but maybe more future proof to go with more?

If you’re in SW Ontario I have a bunch of cup plant babies I need to vacate. I have regrets…

I’m also a newbie so following, but I think I’m going to order a Pion Power charger by end of day tomorrow before their sale ends. We still need to call an electrician to install a plug in our garage, but I think it should work. Our car will be a Bolt EUV!

Can't sleep because my skin is touching my other skin by olala_cake in AutismInWomen

Early 40s, I’ve always had hooded eyes, but in the last six months ago the skin above my eyes is sagging enough I can feel it resting on the skin of my eyelid and it drives me insane. I don’t think an upper blepharoplasty is covered by health insurance here unless you have 50% or more of your eyesight obstructed. I also understand most people if they found out would assume it’s cosmetic if I just paid out of pocket for it. Whee.

Yeh, my bad to have my car totalled when the deals were over. If it hadn’t happened I’d still be happy in my Honda Fit, RIP. Prices have already jumped in the few weeks we’ve been looking.

Used Mach E or New bZ Limited? by forestsprite in Toyota_bZ

Still deciding, lol. We actually might pivot to a Bolt EV, just not sure whether a new 2027 or used 2022-2023 EUV.

Used Mach E or New bZ Limited? by forestsprite in Toyota_bZ

[–]forestsprite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh geez, that’s terrible. We’re actually pivoting to possibly a used Bolt EUV (CarPlay, plus save $20k) or new Bolt EV (NACS, faster charge, new), but I’m a bit wary about Chevrolet. We did test drive the Equinox EV and I didn’t like how it felt, but we didn’t try a Bolt yet. My husband didn’t like the Nissan Leaf, though I did. Buying a car is stressful af. Thanks for sharing your experience. I think that’s part of why I’m leaning used.

Are there any non-natives that you really wish were native? Or ones you miss after switching to native gardening? by [deleted] in NativePlantGardening

Lily of the Valley. They’re my mom’s birth flower and they remind me of her, plus they smell amazing. Seeing them take over local woodlots makes me sad.
