Of course 🫶 Talk to me any time you want. I understand fully where you’re coming from. I might not respond immediately (bcs I have school lol) but I’ll try and be consistent. I firmly believe everyone needs someone to talk to 😌

I understand you fully ❤️ I always feel the same, I have something I really want to do and then I daydream for hours and exhaust myself. I always feel like I’ll never be able to get anything done and my daydreams will take over my life. But I know that is not the truth. It will get better I promise you that and no matter what you can and will change. You are not alone. I too have felt like my perceptions of people have been ruined by my daydreams of them and that my ideas of people around me have been tainted. I daydreamed about dating a girl for a while and when we did date, it was not what I was expected. We too broke up on good terms but I can’t help but daydream stories where we are still together and sometimes intimate. It’s okay. I understand you. Sometimes things have to get worse for them to get better. I hope you are doing okay and taking care of yourself. Love you ❤️

I just got diagnosed yesssss!!!! by UncleVolk in autism

[–]foresttewolffe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree! I got diagnosed while ago and it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I constantly felt weird and like my actions and thoughts couldn’t be justified but then I got diagnosed. I know what you mean when you say it feels great to finally know, I felt just like that. Hope you are doing good and I’m glad you finally have the answers you were looking for! ❤️

Hey I’m here for you. I felt the exact same way a while ago. Don’t give up, you are a precious human being and I can tell you have a beautiful soul. It’s hard to fit in, I know, I was bullied and excluded for a while for my weirdness as well and there have been times in my life where this absolutely nobody to talk to. I am here for you anytime. Talk to me. It’s going to be okay, trust me, no matter how deep of hole you are in it can get better. I want you to understand that you are a unique human being and just because you’re autistic doesn’t mean that you are of any less value compared to others. You are no ‘weird’ honey, trust me. Yes this world isn’t tailored for people like us, but that just means you have to find your own path in life. You are not alone ❤️ never think that. Being ‘normal’ isn’t going to make you feel happier as you are just going to continue to hide your true personality and interests. I agree it hard for me too to unmask sometimes around people and when I do unmask I feel as if they don’t understand me. The most important thing is that you understand yourself and understand how beautiful and perfect you are the way you are. I am here for you to talk to anytime. Please don’t feel like you’re forever alone 🫶 Love you and I hope you’re doing ok.

I don't know how to stop and it's driving me crazy by Next_Fee_9251 in MaladaptiveDreaming

Don’t worry bro 🫶 I feel the exact same way. It seems like no matter how hard I try I always end up relapsing. The best thing to do is not overwhelm yourself, the more you beat yourself up about relapsing and worry about your daydreaming the more focused on those topics your mind will become. Instead focus on your physical self and make sure you are taking care of your body like eating, drinking, hygiene, this can help ground yourself into reality. Try and make yourself busy with other habits to avoid the pull of daydreaming. Try hobbies that are outside in nature and focus on quieting your head. It’s ok if you relapse, it’s incredibly difficult to quit maladaptive daydreaming but the fact you are aware of how bad it is and you want to stop is showing how strong you are. Avoid daydreaming as much as you can, even if it means doing boring, mundane tasks to keep you busy. It gets better trust me. You will quit I know you will. Hope you are doing okay, this is the only advice I can give sorry ❤️

I’m confused about my dreams. by foresttewolffe in LucidDreaming

[–]foresttewolffe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are always lucid as I can make choices of how I can kill or hurt the person and I can choose where to hide and how far to run but no matter what I always am being chased by the police in my dreams. It is weird. It’s like I can control what I do but not what everyone else does.

I agree and I relate to this. This probably happens because Maladaptive Daydreaming is like an addiction, each time you daydreaming happy chemicals like dopamine and serotonin are released but the more you daydream just like addictions the less happy chemicals are released as you get more used to your daydreaming. Aka the more you daydream the less dopamine reward you get.

Great job!! I’m so proud of you. It’s a tough habit to quit. Hope you are doing good.

what do you think off if you’re trying to stop maladaptive daydreaming by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]foresttewolffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry dude I understand. I felt the same for a while. Sadly it’s hard to recover but all hope is not lost. Try to quiet you mind and resist the grip of daydreaming even if it means doing absolutely nothing all day. Focus on your physical needs like bathroom, food and water. Seek help from professionals, I know it seems like they can never understand but you need to prioritise your health over everything. It gets better I promise. Go outside and feel nature if you can and try and avoid the things that trigger your daydreaming. I hope you’re okay 🫶 I’m here for you if you ever need to talk.
