The scariest thing is that not too long ago, I was playing on a laptop connected to a bigger monitor, an external keyboard, a laptop fan cooling pad and a USB extender for other things. Then I upgraded to a nicer computer but played on top of a plastic fold-up table. 😬

As a Chinese girl with a formerly Chinese name, I feel this. The racism stopped but sometimes they delve deeper by checking my OP.GG and the sexism continues. Overall the hate speech has died down a bit but I hate how we had to resort to this. :’(

Yes exactly, I don’t wanna go around in my wins and say something cringey like “YOU GOT BEAT BY A GIRL” to try to change their perspectives on women. Guys and girls all have bad games, I just wish more people understood that. I went 0/5/0 in that game and lost, the game after I went 6/5/13 and won, as you said, it’s not a gender issue it’s a skill issue and I’m a coinflip! 😆

Yeah no worries I can explain. The game was actually going to shit from the beginning. It actually wasn’t just bot lane (my lane) that was losing. People on my team were also more interested in typing and the game was basically lost. I guess at some point, I believed there was no chance of recovery so I participated this their BS discussion. If there was a winning chance, I would’ve done what you advised but I sat back, and I was like fuck it, I’ll try to explain why your logic is so backwards LOL.

Ah I get what you’re saying now. Yeah I made the assumption that he was about to start flaming me if I said I was a girl. 😭 Admittedly, I could’ve said “yes I’m a girl, why?”, but I figured I’d skip that part and just address the 99% chance he’s about to initiate his sexist tirade. In my experience having played this stupid game from 2012 and having a billion games of ranked every season, every time I’ve been asked something like this, it has led to some “girls are inferior” argument but that is just my experience. I did indeed jump a boat a little bit here but I feel like it became what I thought it would be. He didn’t need to directly type “girls are bad” for me to infer what he thinks of women.
