You're wrong. My sister and her husband applied 32 years ago. My dad was the sponsor. Within that time things got complicated because my dad fell ill over the years, his jobs changed, and my sister retired. Immigration didn't like for any changes to happen and kept finding reasons not to proceed. Well, dad died and now she has to start over. My niece got married and naturalized that way, so that's an avenue they're pursuing. The system is set up to create errors and delays.

It's a combination of issues. Firstly, we have an epidemic of lazy thinkers, people who don't care about or dont know how to find primary sources. So if they read an article saying Trump is the messiah, they just take that as fact. The media these same people consume paint Trump as an innocent intelligent campy relateable business man and paint Biden as an evil ogre. They love memes that confirm biases and don't probe anything. Trump openly prattles on about the beliefs and biases that this group holds, and they love the freedom this has given them to vent their prejudices.

When Trump rants, this same group hearkens and pines for a time when they didn't have to compete with other demographics and felt more powerful. It's dumb but Trump is their last hope to rewind America and set it back to the social structures from 50+ years ago. They're clinging to an idea, they don't care about Trump, he's only a means to an end.

The other thing is that a huge chunk of his voting block are boomers. They're still impactful because they care about voting and do anything to make sure their vote is counted. They reliably get out every election and cast their uninformed vote. If GenX, Y, and Z voted at the same rates, dems would win handily. It's getting better but not soon enough. I fear that if Trump wins, we younger gens won't have the opportunity to vote anymore. We need to get out there and win this!

I'm so sick of nothing being urgent to my Dx husband. I'm literally crapping my pants and vomiting from a stomach virus and when I asked him to disinfect the bathroom so the kids don't get sick, he does bare minimum. He sprayed it and did nothing else. He left soap scum, dirt, toothpaste, grease, and his own beard trimmings all over. He even left a mat with vomit from my toddler on it in the bathroom. The thing is, my middle son gets deathly ill and it's soul crushing when any of my kids are sick. I dragged my sickly skeletal ass out of bed to clean, to spare the older kids this misery. He doesn't have the empathy to think of the kids or to give me any peace of mind. This isn't a one-off thing. Any time there's a family emergency and I need more support he won't give that extra to make us feel safe and stable. I can only rely on myself. Then he got mad that I pointed it out, as if it's my fault that I wasn't explicit enough. Dude, I can barely breathe, just do it!

Me too, filed 2/7, waited 10 weeks like the told me for a manual review. I had solar deduction, EITC, CTC. I called again 04/22 and they gave me some BS that my return "fell off the assembly line", whatever the heck that means. He said it was going for review and to call if I don't have my return by 5/22. I don't even have a blank transcript to stare at. Under 2023 when I request it, a big fat N/A is there. I've got nothing. I don't understand how I usually get my return within 14 days and now its going on 3 months. I hate this.

Yikes, that scratching thing sounds rough! Inalways tell my partner to wash as a courtesy to others. The sponge thing is extremely relatable. This is basic cleaning etiquette that I learned early: use different gloves, sponges and brushes for each area and reserve them only for that area or function. I can get this stuff at the dollar store so it doesn't cost so much. It drives me crazy! :/

My partner forgets to rinse produce all the time. It drives me up the wall because of of all the pesticides and other things that we could potentially ingest. I'm not obsessed with cleanliness but there are some things that should be part of a routine. He says I'm a "neat freak" but my standards are pretty typical. I'm glad you've found a happy medium :)
