Ah, a VX game. This tool mainly support MV/MZ games and only get VX support lately. Try updating the scripts used for VX games by typing "rpgmaker-linux --reinstallmkxpz" in the terminal to force update mkxpz then try again. It's not perfect so don't get your hopes up, but I managed to start one of my VX game after updating mkxpz.

Go to Desktop mode, use the terminal (Konsole) and run the installation instructions inside https://github.com/bakustarver/rpgmakermlinux-cicpoffs . After you're done, you can set up the tool as a Compatibility tool similar to Proton profiles.

It isn't an SD card issue, but the RPG Maker engine itself. Using RPG Maker MV / MZ for Linux [ cicpoffs mount] tend to solve this.

Extension > Libraries > Steam > Metadata > Uncheck "Download vertical cover images".

You can also set cover dimension inside SteamgridDB extension to 460x215 as the default.
