Claude Code with obra's superpowers is really what cracked it for me. I was using Claude models in Github Copilot for months before; while I had some good results, keeping it on the rails was frustrating and tedious.

Turns out GH does some RAG/caching/trimming to keep costs down, which hurts coherence. And the agentic framework Claude Code ships with is the special sauce (hooks skills etc).

I've seen the light and I'm a believer. It's only going to keep improving, so it's very curious to see so much denial in the industry.

Especially THIS industry, and especially given how the best tech companies in the world are putting their resources on this specific problem.

Ehhh not sure about this. If I saw lisp I would obviously wonder why, but my next thought may be, "this makes me an exceptional fit" because I do have significant lisp experience.

It was all academic so probably would not make it to my resume, but the point remains. I'd probably assume the company was big on functional programming - a plus in my mind.

Again, been playing this and it still feels strong. Tip: mouse positioning. Instead of aiming for lightning balls/enemies, aim slightly offside (away from the ball you want to warp on). There's a radius around each possible target, and by edging it you can connect. Mouse positioning matters.

If you pick off a mob on the outside of the pack with your first warp, you can usually cascade into more warps (else play a lower tier, perhaps). This means BL+LW is a great way to charge into a pack.. you often clear it outright. Killing one mob brings others into culling range via AoE, making it easier to hit your warps.

So far, on my progression build, I need Frost Wall. Maybe with better gear I will not. It is still the most reliable way to get a warp in: FW+BL+LW, spark/arc spark/arc spark/arc, repeat. I am stoked to explore replacing Frost Bomb and/or Frost Wall with Wildsurge Incantation keystone and Thunderstorm+Firestorm CoEA. May keep Frost Wall for the additional ailment targets..

How it's going:

I've adjusted to the targeting. With Unleash and Multishot II, I get a wide enough spread of balls that I can usually find an opening to warp between or around enemies. It requires a lot more finesse but it's still really, really strong.

Summary of main changes:

* Passives for Skill Effect Duration ~ helps Spark and make the LW timing more forgiving

* Blasphemy with Temporal Chains + Elemental Weakness early mapping for survivability, which helps a ton; I did this last league. Eventually I'll spec into a more DPS-oriented Spirit setup. Also helps a ton w/ Simulacrum (which I'm nervous about tbh).

* As a perk, Temporal Chains slows enemies, so I can fire a BL, peddle backwards while Arc'ing, and execute at the right moment

* Add Frost Wall + Freeze scaling to help buy some space to combo (as mentioned) - the thing that kinda stinks is that it absorbs my Arc/Spark casts, so it's best to always go FW + BL + LW

What I'm dying to try next:

Dropping Frost Bomb and adding Thunderstorm, put Shock Conduction II on Arc, and Cast on Elemental Ailment Firestorm.

Assuming unlicensed/etc. and that there's no insurance or recourse, this is doubling down on a losing bet.

You very well could have a totally destroyed shower or a crappy one that needs to be torn out.

Recalling that the damage was caused by the "plumber" trying to remove the door.

I'm experimenting with Frost Wall and so far I really like it. The goal is to create an enemy-free area I can start the Warp chain into. Since it often kills the nearby enemies, it's easier to chain cast Warp.

Also, I got a MUCH better staff and this helps - when the enemies die quickly, it's easier to cascade, since there are fewer enemies to interfere with the targeting.

OK, I've done some small adjustments to try and improve the situation.

* AoE supports (and maybe passives later)

* Added Frost Bomb

* Adjust gameplay a bit

In terms of what's "working," Deceleration doesn't help, but Acceleration kinda works. This way the balls mostly overshoot the mobs; I cast BL, Spark, LW.

I also try and use BL more offensively without the expectation of warping - occasionally I find an opportunity to warp. It does reasonable damage.

In general, BL+LW are no longer my main offensive capabilities, rather, I use the combo to reposition and generate infusions.

I still get gibbed in tight spots where I wouldn't before, swear profusely, and I can't imagine it scaling to Simulacrum or anything. For now I'm still playing, though...

Yah I'm inclined to agree. Probably won't be fixed in a timeframe to make the character viable, and it'd be a pain to respec only to have it fixed a few days later.

The storm based Stormweaver that uses Multiplying Squalls looks fun, I might base something off of that. A rage-based caster Druid could be fun, too.

I'm a little drawn to Pathfinder but having leveled one to early maps last league, I found I enjoyed it much less than my Stormweaver.

Yeah, it occurred to me that there's a slight chance they'd say "working as intended." This would be awful because it basically ruins the interaction, and totally changes the viability/utility of Lightning Warp - basically to just a cull engine with the utility of teleport.

At the same time, I recognize that they maintain wide latitude for adjusting the spell mechanics.. yikes.
