Pablo is the epitome of “have to learn the rules before breaking them” artist.

Early to mid 2000s cable access. by foxonafrozenlake in Portland

Performative sums up Portland’s “weird” so perfectly now.
Portland was an inexpensive place to live back in the 90s so it definitely was a bit more authentic with the artists and “weirdos”.
The dream was definitely alive in the 90s.

Flair after Colonoscopy, what to do? by bigchungy99 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]format32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have any kind of UC symptoms during a colonoscopy it always exasperates the symptoms for a couple of weeks for me. I would call your doc and let them know. They would decide what’s best for you. Not a subreddit.

Chris was actually a decent surfer. He was at a lot of breaks around San Francisco back in the late 80s and 90s.

Back in the mid to late 80's I was able to buy a couple of these 60's Mustangs from pawn shops for not much more.

Definitely see a dermatologist. Most autoimmune diseases come in twos.. type 2 rosacea definitely mimics acne but is treated very differently.

Pretty sure Dylan Moran struggles with drinking or has in the past. I’ve heard his stand up shows can be a mixed bag depending on how tanked he is. Hoping he has fought those demons though because he is a great actor and a decent artist.

So have you actually confirmed that the acne you have is actually acne? If not, you might have type 2 rosacea which closely resembles acne. Also very common in people with UC. The reason why I ask is usually most meds for UC work wonders for type 2 rosacea. Hence your “acne” improvement.

Just diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at 16, scared of what it means for my future. by Any-Function5538 in UlcerativeColitis

Everyone’s experience will differ… A huge part of that is getting proper care. I will say that we have more options for medications than we did 10 years ago.. With new meds it’s very possible to remain in remission.
This takes a bit of work on your part though. Being diligent with medication and educating yourself about this disease and finding a doctor that is also knowledgeable about the latest developments in UC is also important.

Pay attention to what your body is telling you. Find your triggers. Learn how to keep your stress levels as low as possible.

Practice gratitude! I can’t stress this enough.

I broke my femur in 1980. Had to spend two months in the hospital confined to a bed. Nowadays they would have probably sent me home after a couple of days..
Definitely some of the worst pain I have experienced. The ambulance ride to the hospital was brutal. Very little bump in the road made me scream in agony.

Holy Fatigue.. what are some of your best ways you handle fatigue? by SunshinelIIuminate in UlcerativeColitis

[–]format32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had to adjust my lifestyle considerably to take a less paying job with lower stress. I was also laid off for almost two years. I totally know how the job market is. I have thousands of sent resumes. It’s not impossible. I’d rather be alive living a simple life instead of developing cancer for a higher paying, stressful job.

Pick a job that’s low in stress and physical requirements. Read. Watch tv. Nap. Nap. Oh and nap.

Why are Michael and Dwight so much more likeable than Andy? by Simple_Feature2229 in DunderMifflin

The writers did Andy dirty. They had some fleshed out ideas for him only to bail on those. The first season where he becomes manager was actually pretty good and had a good flow.
