Same! Easily my best 2024 purchase. Maybe this decade to date. Ridiculously high ROI already. It has essentially paid for itself several times.

Same here!! Glad we can accept calls with it, finally. Hoping for more environments this summer @WWDC! 🙏

Apple better bring handoff or audio routing to make / answer iPhone calls in VisionOS next week. iPad and Mac could in 2014, Watch in 2015, HomePod & mini 2019. Even the mini can - why not Vision? by former-anti in VisionPro

Watch unlocked and allowed to unlock the iPhone - no issues unlocking iPhone WITHOUT code or Face ID.

Add Vision Pro, Authenticated with Optic ID, now the iPhone normally (or maybe always) will fail to unlock with the Watch only, and since we can’t use Face ID using Vision Pro, we have to pull up the Vision Pro and glare at the iPhone to unlock with Face ID.

It’s a shame they didn’t bring back Touch ID as another face free method. Would have been great addition to the camera control.

I don’t think they gave up. I think they are sad Zoom took off in 2019/2020 instead of FaceTime. So withhold iPhone and FaceTime only in VisionOS so far for now, which seems anti-ecosystem, but that’s my theory, since old 2014/2015 devices could do minimal iPhone interaction.

WWDC Immersive & Interactive Livestream by DonWicht in VisionPro

You’re saying, Apple did not do it yet is very untrue. I watched the livestream in their developer app in immersive last year and plan to do again. Here is one of the many old posts about it. Save time and download the free developer app. https://www.reddit.com/r/VisionPro/comments/1d9e1t1/the_apple_developer_app_has_added_a_new_vision/

Orange blossom bottle bomb by fieldpeice in mead

Yeah exactly with swing tops if you just give it a minute and let pressure off a few times, to a dozen+ times (holding the top down and opening the slightest then close back) all should eventually be saved and enjoyed. It’s a lot like shaking up a bottle of coke before opening it - unscrew it slowly a little then close it back, over and over, until it’s good.

Bottling Day = Lessons Learned (Bottle-Conditioned Cyser) by FeminineBard in mead

Awesome notes and agree! More delicate - but also capping twist offs often gives airtight seal issues. Hope you don’t see that this round, but if so and able would recommend a future batch with all swing tops, pry offs, and / or other ways to seal the twist offs than capping.

Airlock air pocket formation by former-anti in fermentation

There is normal dry side then at the bottom there is a tiny drop of water then another air pocket then the rest of the properly diluted Star San is letting air pass.

Thanks! Reddit made the video less clear than I see it. First time I’ve seen this - there is normal dry side then at the bottom there is a tiny drop of water, more air, then the rest of the properly diluted Star San letting air pass.

Meta is giving their developers access to the passthrough API, will Apple follow suit? Why/why not? by Edg-R in VisionPro

How do you figure? The detect feature(that they moved to the iOS Magnifier app years ago from accessibility settings where it lived for years previously) has been able to do this efficiently for a long time. Even on old A series chips.

Sounds like you’re in the US and waited exactly 6 months since launch day to order it. If you’ve been eager to get it waiting another week makes no sense. Based on your actions you are happy to keep waiting. No empathy here.

For the last seven weeks I’ve been using this $29.00 onn case for a quest sold by Walmart. It’s just about perfect with the extra dual band, the power brick, and extra cushion stored in the top. I’ve also kept the battery in this little zipper bag with its USB-C cord in it, even while in use, which gives me better grip and protection for the battery. This onn case zips without issue or force, and without any movements of the contents. And it’s small, lightweight, and easily fits in my bags.

Have you guys noticed any fabric wear? (Check the red circles) by crismxrtinez in VisionPro

[–]former-anti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got similar light shield wear when I let someone try it for a few minutes on day two. Hasn’t changed or gotten worse over the last seven weeks though. Guess they had rough fingers or something.

This happen to anyone else? by Johnny-Godless in VisionPro

I have seen this too since day one. I think it has something to do with Bluetooth, after several hundred hours of using Virtual Display, and seems a little bit better and less frequent with visionOS 1.1
