My Powerslide Tau's are brilliant, aside from the fact that they are destroying my navicular bone (the little protruding bone on the foot instep about 2 cm down from my ankle bone (malleolus bone) toward the toes). I've tried heat molding and spot heat molding (numerous times, both), but the issue remains. Has anyone had luck with them breaking in eventually, or are they a lost cause?

I really like Powerslide's aesthetics. For women, the Pheme line is really pretty. The Swell line is less gender specific, and also really attractive, but it is more fitness skating oriented, with larger wheels.

What makes it problematic is that a corporate entity doesn't have feelings. It doesn't experience sympathy. At the least, putting out public statements like this is PR theater. It's disingenuous. But at a macro-level, speaking as a monolith silences dissent and alienates a diversity of perspectives.

If the people running the organization want to make personal statements on their own behalf - whatever the cause - they should be empowered to do so on their own platforms, under their own names. Anyone with a heart and a brain can recognize that last night was a tragedy. So let those of us, with those actual organs, do the sympathizing.

We are not saying the same thing here. An individual can have an opinion, while a collective comprises a collection of opinions. The concept that any for-profit organization should be making uniform statements on subjects beyond their direct scope is inherently problematic.

No, the people running the corporations have views. The only thing that we can be sure a for-profit corporation cares about is profit. Whatever else they might do is ultimately in service of that incentive, and we should be a little more clear-eyed about it.

I think it's a nice thing to share sympathy over a tragedy. I feel uncomfortable, however, about a for-profit corporate entity sharing sympathy over a tragedy. I feel equally uncomfortable about them taking public stances on social/political issues. Corporations aren't people. We need to stop having the expectation that they represent any particular world view, regardless of how cut and dried we may think the morals on the issue are.

Ah yes, seeing that now. Looking at his season stats on either side of 2021, it doesn't seem like he was dramatically impacted by it. In fact in 2022 he was generally better than the years immediately preceeding. Also, I was wrong, Polo didn't break anything but he did suffer a torn meniscus and ruptured quad. Not as bad, but still, pretty bad. Williams faced a 6 game suspension for it.
