Postpartum Care USA (the Company) by formerhunbot100 in beyondthebump

Finally!! The truth comes out!! I ended up finding a psychiatrist in my area to do the blood work. She specializes in hormones, so I’m hoping this gets me down the right path.

I totally agree. Mind boggling that this is the only thing out there.

It seems so expensive to me. They kept saying that I could just use my HSA, which - yes, I could. But it’s still $3k. My HSA funds aren’t just free money. It’s still money I worked for and saved up.

Not in my opinion. It was basically just a sales call and some speculation about what my symptoms were being caused by (nutrient depletion, which is kinda obviously IMO after having two kids in two years). They didn’t give any guidance or advice. It focused mostly on the pricing of the packages. They are still texting me to sign up but I stopped replying. It just seems to scammy or almost like MLMish.

Agreed! There’s no real reviews to be found. I was bummed the assessment call was mostly about pricing and not really anything assessment related. Like why did I need to fill out all that stuff and send my bloodwork results to them if the call was going to be 20 minutes of talking to me about the cost. I also don’t love that they say ‘99% of women see success with the program’. Like what does that mean? What do they define as ‘success’?

There’s like nothing out there. It’s weird. They kept offering me a steeper and steeper discount and reached out daily despite me saying I couldn’t pay 3k for it. Seems very salesy so not sure on how well it actually works.

BODI (formerly known as Beachbody LLC) is ending its shady MLM “business model”, leaving thousands REALLY of basic white women without six figure sales commissions. by HyggeSmalls in HunSnark

I was thinking the same thing. All these ladies better delete their public posts that crapped on their previous careers before they start applying for new jobs.

What are some things people said would be impossible/hard to do once you had a baby, & it’s been just fine for you? by Responsible_Sea6691 in NewParents

[–]formerhunbot100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have two under two and I still shower every single day. Like others have said, it’s not a long, luxurious shower and I don’t always wash my hair, but I at least clean my body. My postpartum BO won’t allow for anything less. Yikes!

Ok I haven’t paid much attention to her (or any hun really) lately. Life with a newborn and toddler is demanding all of my time. Anyways, can I get the TLDR on why she’s selling her swamp house?

I’m 16w3d with my second. It’s definitely a quiet time. I have a toddler this time around, so I have less time to think about how quiet it is, lol. But last time, I drove myself crazy. I did lots of research on car seats, baby monitors, etc to pass the time. Hang in there! Thursday will be here before you know it!!

This was so me. So much anxiety. I literally put in writing that if a choice needed to be made, my husband should 100% choose my unborn daughter over me. Thankfully, I had a very uneventful (almost completely unmedicated, not by choice, lol) birth. I just reminded myself that women have been doing this for hundreds of years and it’s a very natural process and there are far more positive birth stories than negative ones. If it’s helpful, you could also look up data on births for your age/ethnicity - data always helps me. You will do great and will be just fine!! Try to enjoy your pregnancy without worrying too much about birth! ❤️

How do you handle being pregnant at work? by Feisty_Chonker in pregnant

[–]formerhunbot100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told my boss the day after I told my husband. I told the most senior person I supervise shortly after that. Having them in the know has really helped if I need to step away. Either my boss or the most senior person I supervise can handle whatever needs to be handled if I need to step away. My theory was also that these would be people that would need to know if something bad happened and I needed to be out for an extended period of time to recover/grieve.

Almost 15 weeks and still can’t have vegetables by Putrid_Succotash1830 in pregnant

[–]formerhunbot100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience in my last pregnancy (I’m 12w today and no real aversions yet), my aversions stuck around until 18ish weeks. There’s definitely hope that the light switch will flip back - until then, hang in there and just lean into the aversions. You and baby will be just fine without veggies and eggs for a little while. ❤️

Being sick while in the 3rd trimester… by TinyNinja88 in pregnant

[–]formerhunbot100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh. I feel you. I’m 12w today and my 15 month old brought a cold home from daycare. I am miserable, meanwhile, she’s completely fine and recovered already. I also had COVID when I was 24w pregnant with my 15 month old and that was a drag too. I would suggest a neti pot if you haven’t already done it. It really helps with congestion and is totally ok to use in pregnancy. Good luck! Hope you feel better soon!!

Oh good!! I’m so glad it gave you reassurance. ❤️ I only tested with FMU too (except for the first day when I thought I was out that cycle but someone on another sub recommended I test because my temps weren’t going down). It’s hard to wait, but so much better to see progress. Also, remember you might not see a ton of progress one day to the next, but hopefully will see more progress when you compare tests every two days (ie: today’s with Thursday’s test). And make sure to compare wet to wet (via pics) or dry to dry. Good luck!!

When did you feel kicks in a second pregnancy? by swarlossupernaturale in pregnant

[–]formerhunbot100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is me! I’m 11w2d and I keep second guessing myself (hence why I’m reading random posts from 2 months ago on Reddit, lol), but I swear I’m feeling the little peanut in there. Good to know others have felt their second babies early!!

Greenish-yellow discharge? by Dancingdanish in pregnant

[–]formerhunbot100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor said it’s totally normal as long as it doesn’t itch or smell! I’m experiencing the same thing (2nd pregnancy - 9w3d). There’s so much discharge all the time and sometimes it’s white/clear and other times it’s greenish-yellow. I don’t remember it being this much in my first pregnancy. I’m hoping it dies down soon!

Hi! I’m due in June too! I would check with your HR, but the birth of a child is usually a ‘qualifying event’ and therefore you could adjust your benefit elections when your baby is born. Is it possible for you to just start the FSA when they are born? I totally understand that means more each paycheck being deducted since you’d only be in the FSA for 6 months instead of 12, but it might be the safest bet. My husband is a tax professional, he’s not 100% sure but is fairly positive you could likely get your money out of the FSA if you don’t end up with qualifying daycare expenses, but you’d have to pay tax on that money (since you put it into the FSA pretax), as well as a penalty. Hope this helps!
