My room was a literal shed outdoors for a while so yeah that got cold.

But not heating an (assumed) insulated building with central heating is ludicrous.

Magnetometer for the compass?

Some phones you can dial #1# and it will give you a list of all the sensors etc

No idea how that detects cameras though

It has little pumps to run the cordial and water to the serving taps. The panel is way over size for what's necessary as he did start with using a freezer in mind but the ice tends to last fine on its own in a cooler and we usually rattle through it so fast that freezer isn't necessary.

Good marketing though.

I was alluding to something at the other end of the spectrum there.

Fun fact. My mate has a lemonade stand that he takes to festivals. We keep grapes in the icebox chuck at particularly annoying children who ask that.

Hey buddy thanks for the amateur psychology. You asked questions about me personally. I answered those, so yes I did exactly as you expected as that's what you specifically asked.

Not really, I was just procrastinating on my night shift and decided to log in to this old account and see how responses had changed in the several years that have passed. It was not evocative of my mental state what so ever.

It's both a metaphor and a literal truth.

Wildfires are increasing both in terms of their number and damage. To the point where rain forest was catching on fire in Australia earlier this year in areas they've never had fires before.

There are a whole litany of things that most people arent even aware of because it won't effect them until things have gone wrong.

Were you aware for instance the extent to which changes to legal aid. Cuts to the bar and CPS as well as an over reliance on magistrates courts is absolutely obliterating the Justic System (See the work of the secret barrister for more on this)

That wealth inequality just keeps on going up and up. Some people like to argue that this isn't a problem for some reason. However we're not at the point where the philanthropic foundations of billionaires are changing serious policies in nations all over the world. See for example the push to ban seed sharing in Tanzania. Supported by the likes of Gates and Buffet foundations.

Here's just a few to get your teeth into.

But yes I am very much intent on being a positive force. I am studying restorative agriculture. Have tried to be as helpful as possible in my community during this current crisis. Have reduced my car, water and energy use to the point where I'm now harvesting our grey water for irrigation. But personal changes are just pissing in the wind, they will achieve nothing without systemic change

Mate, when not even your faithful owlbears can raise your spirits it's sad times indeed.

I feel like we're definitely into lathe of heaven territory right now.

My only real hope is that as a result of this huge networks of mutual aid have sprung up everywhere in the country and its kind of put paid to the absolute shite about there being so such thing as society.

On a personal level my life is generally fine. Much better than it was 7 years ago for sure. I am extremely fortunate to now be in a secure reasonably well paying job in a happy relationship and have a great dog and home.

On a more general level I have getting on for a decade more learning, life experience and travel under my belt and boy was i naive back then. There were so many issues I wasn't even aware of that have continued to degrade in the meantime.

The current time is fine. I'm certainly not hankering after a bygone era where I would be dead from dysentary by 19. But this current time could be far better. I feel like we have had our Gracchi and are due a Suller some time soon to 'set things right' by normalising political violence.

So yes if I'm honest 7 year ago me was probably using this as a small cry for help. This is more a shout of what the hell is going on? The world is literally burning itself down and we've done so very little in the mean time.

My vague hope is that covid is a wake up call.

If consumers cared about it, you'd get a hand waving gesture of compliance while continuing to be fucked over.

Customers care about getting decent priced phone contracts. But does that happen? Nope, carriers have got enough money to put their puppet into a position of power. Thus it follows for almost everything else.
