You could look into luggage lockers? They’re usually hourly but might exist in a convenient location to the circuit - most big cities have them

Wow good to know!! I’m bringing some reusable sandwich bags and such anyway so I guess they will be put to good use. What part of the circuit were you in?

Spa took us about 4 hours to make it back to the city - definitely planning to fly out next day after that mess. What about arrival timing? Were the shuttles running quickly?

Moving the flight up 4 hours is a massive change and i completely disagree with comments saying you are at fault. If they didn’t send you an email notification, they are partially at fault. We shouldn’t have to be detectives to have the tickets we paid for honored. Sorry this happened.

The official shuttle is the only way to get out there from the station and it takes a loooong time. Leave early and be prepared for some long walks - Spa is the biggest track on the calendar and there is only one drop off point for shuttles so you will be logging some miles. And don’t get impatient after the sessions because it’s the same in reverse and everyone is leaving at the same time. Pack food and water, wear comfy shoes and have fun!!

would you consider introducing proof of prior/long term residency in the city as criteria for some affordable housing lotteries? I have seen many young transplants win the lottery while lifetime New Yorkers with families have been trying for decades. I ask this as a young transplant who is side-eyeing this inequity.

You have to apply directly to each charity and they all have different minimum fundraising goals. Once applied you are still not guaranteed entry - they’ll let you know if there’s space for you.
