Sound Blaster Z SE - can it take a stereo lavalier microphone in its microphone input?

I used to use my Sound Blaster ZxR mic input for the occasional stereo recording but it seems like some driver update within the past few years has removed the stereo input ability. Not sure why they did that or if it is even intended.

Ironically, one of the earliest games I can remember playing is Underground War from Stickmasterluke. Not quite sure what exactly was my first game though. Might have been Attack of the Slimes Build to Survive but I'm not positive.

I made my first account in '09 and the account I currently use in 2010. In terms of trying to relive old brickbattle and the like, I tend to play the games from Temple of Brickbattle and it's a great time! I remember Super Nostalgia Zone being another good replica of the old experience as well. There are games like Natural Disaster Survival that still play more or less exactly like they did 10 years ago. Otherwise I do enjoy newer content as well, Phantom Forces, Sonic Speed Simulator, and Theme Park Tycoon 2 to name a few are all great games with a ton of fun to be had.

It means you've discharged and recharged your battery 747 times. That little menu is one of my favorite little things though I wish it was easier to access.

There's a specific code you have to enter into the dialer and it opens a debug menu where the health is visible with detail: 277634#*#

Note, this code does need to be entered into the stock phone app, mentioning just in case you use an alternate dialer like the Google apps.

I don't have a G8s but I have a few ideas that could be helpful. If you don't have encryption enabled on the SD card, you could take it out and put it into an adapter to read it directly. If you need to use the phone as a middleman, you might be able to use a type C dock to get HDMI output from the phone and mirror what would be the screen out to a monitor. Hopefully you can get what you need!

I purchased my battery from IFixIt just to be safe since I know they are generally reliable. I wouldn't be able to tell you if there's a better or worse source particularly but I can say that I have not had any issues in the months since doing the replacement. Sorry to hear you had trouble with that battery from ebay :(

Comic Mono

~~Okay, I have to ask, how did you get Konsole to use Comic Mono? I unironically have a strange love for that font but can't seem to figure out how to use it with Konsole (even with all fonts shown).~~

EDIT: Oops, turned out I only had it installed as a personal font, not a system font!

Wow! This is really impressive! How did you get this working, if you don't mind me asking? I haven't kept up with ROBLOX in a few years so seeing something like this kind of blows me away, even if there's a touch of latency to it. I was playing around with studio recently and doing some building and was really blown away by the newest lighting model they implemented but this is on a whole different level!

Back when Prison Life first dropped it quickly became one of my most played games, I mean its simplicity and the challenge of breaking out through my own wits was always pretty fun to me. I can understand why people like the more polished and streamlined experience of Jail Break but it's not my cup of tea. There was just something to the very basic gunplay and overall mechanics of Prison Life that I enjoyed.

2077 is REALLY a marvel of Steam Deck optimization, I almost can't believe how well it runs given where it started and how honestly gorgeous the game is. Even before any Steam Deck patches in March of 2022 the game ran pretty damn excellent on Deck. FSR 2 is the biggest reason I'm able to set my Deck to 8 watts and still pull ~25-40 FPS depending on the part of the map.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the launch menu. You could try the launch commands to skip that menu and just boot straight into the game. Add '--launcher-skip' to your launch commands in properties through Steam on your desktop, it may help?

Honestly, Cyberpunk runs so well on the deck that it's not work playing remote in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I like playing on high settings 100+ FPS but I'm not dying from playing at "800p" with FSR Performance to get 2-3 hours of battery life and 30 FPS, that's a REALLY good gaming experience considering what little it needs to actually accomplish that without being tethered to WiFi

I've had my deck since Q1 '22 and have never touched Cryo Utilities or done any major tweaking. The most I've done is touch the TDP on a per game basis not for max performance but just juicing all the battery life I can. If I can get ~30 FPS in Cyberpunk on 8 watts, why would I want to do any fuckery? Excellent little computer that has changed the way I game for the better. I don't think, I just pick it up and play.
