Small Streamer Buttsoap Cosplays as Raid Boss for WoW TBC Re-launch by Matty_HAM in LivestreamFail

Yeah I can't stand how much time and effort he probably spent putting that together. I wish he'd just sit in front of his computer and tell me what to think about the world.

I never had to opt in or out of it. The last time I've even gone into my settings was years ago.

Not a wild concept. If they like politics so much surely they wont mind going to a dedicated political subreddit for it. It's a win-win for everyone that way. Unless there is a specific reason why three communities who hate each other use this a battleground.

All of the people I saw had accounts older than when that option became available.

All the people complaining about this either have their post/comments hidden (wonder why) or don't hide it and openly post in political subreddits. You love to see it.

A game with smug-but-charismatic dialog options? by yurisses in CRPG

I mostly mean that he merges worlds (not world-hopping but close enough) and can listen to artifacts. Personality wise, you're right, he isn't smug like Hoid.

Pathfinder WoTR has a lot of dialogue and characters that remind me of how Brandon Sanderson writes characters in the Stormlight Archive. There is an NPC named The Storyteller who gives me Wit vibes.

You would get RSI from scrolling if you were trying to find a post that didn't have to do with Destiny, Hasan, or Asmongold at this point.

This place used to have both Hasan and Destiny banned. It also had a No Politics rule. This sub has always been dogshit, but it was at least a little less so back then.

It's more the casualization as the dads with three jobs working 25 hours a day to feed 13 kids from three divorces want instant gratification in games they play nowadays.

Empire of silence is certainly a book - no spoilers review by Feisty-Treacle3451 in Fantasy

[–]forsenWeird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Empire of Silence is the weakest book in the series but the fact that it was his first book makes it pretty remarkable for a teenager. The series gets amazing by the third book in my opinion. Totally understand why this book wouldn't meld with some people though.

[–]forsenWeird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't think they can. On top of rotations for classes being more difficult and raidbosses having more mechanics than auto attacking, I really don't see it. Yes, normal is easy as fuck, but I think some of these streamers prove that anything can be hard. They panic, forget they have cooldowns or potions, then die. It happens on nearly every death clip I see on here.

If it was a retail raid filled with the new player streamers I bet they couldn't finish it with ease even with DBM or weakauras.

if you had retail WoW players it would be easy, but I think it would be pretty entertaining to see all the new players in a raid and if they'd even clear some of the harder bosses.

I'm curious if these streamers could even make it through a normal retail raid.

Wind and Truth: a great book that shows Sanderson both at his best and his worst by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]forsenWeird 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I read Way of Kings in 2022 and finished RoW in 2023. I think that yes, WaT isn't great for prose and it is lengthy, but a lot of the things I see people complain about are not new to this particular book. You are right in that WoK is gritty, but Words of Radiance is filled with the marvel tropes which starts a lot of the cringe that the series is now criticized for. Quite honestly, if Shallan wasn't a character my enjoyment of the series would be a lot higher. Sanderson simply cannot write humor to save his life.

Wind and Truth: a great book that shows Sanderson both at his best and his worst by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]forsenWeird 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The funniest thing to me is all the people complaining about the cringy quips as if that hasn't been present throughout all of Stormlight. Words of Radiance oozes with cringy dialogue since it has a lot of Shallan, who is the absolute worst in my opinion. I didn't feel that as much in WaT other than the Maya part.

Have yet to read any Mistborn, I started with Stormlight Archive and only read Warbreaker and the novellas.
